Evgeni Malkin should just surrender the MVP to Daniel Winnik

Winnik-Sanity has commenced Ladies and Gentleman
4 goals, 5 points, hits everything in sight and is a damn good looking man to boot.

Winnik ain't messing around guys, he's a man on a mission, and his mission is domination

List of accomplishments this season
-5 goals, on pace for a career high, while in a shortened season!
-Only player to score multiple goals on Corey Schneider AND Miika Kipprusoff in the same game!
-Leads all forwards in +/- because he does not get scored on, he does all the scoring
-Ended Patrick Godleau's goal streak, when it seemed like an impossible task for a normal man
-Shut down the 100 million dollar man Zach Parise

Joe Sakic 01-21-2013 11:44 PM

And top 10 (offensive) penalty killers in the league.

I said it.

ReginKarlssonLehner 01-21-2013 11:45 PM

LOL, that's good looking?

He has played phenomenal hockey so far though. Usually ever start of the season has a bunch of these guys who go on torrid raids. He seems to have established quite the chemistry with Koivu though.

BrickAHL 01-21-2013 11:46 PM

After seeing this thread, Winnik is demanding $6 million dollars a year.

DJENTLEMAN 01-21-2013 11:47 PM

This is kind've like that Benn thread last year.

Benn Ferriero.

Timmy 01-21-2013 11:50 PM

If you're going to do something that gets you arrested, you should take off your team jersey before the mug shot.

MeowLeafs 01-21-2013 11:51 PM

His goals have been flukey tonight, but there seems to be chemistry with Cogs and Koivu.

Aceonfire 01-21-2013 11:52 PM

This was like Legwand-mania last year.

He will cool down, they always do.

Cory Trevor 01-21-2013 11:52 PM

His face was chiseled from the marble of Tuscany

Tad Mikowsky 01-21-2013 11:53 PM

Haha, I can't wait to see this thread in a month

Guys, I swear, Vladimir Tarasenko is the next Pavel Datsyuk.

And Teemu Selanne > Steven Stamkos

For real.

Flukey?
No that's just Winnik's indomitable will to get the puck in the net.

Tarasenko 01-22-2013 12:00 AM

Remember Taylor Pyatt and his 15 or so points in 10-12 games? Yeah, future Gretzky maybe.

this is the best post here

Unholy 01-22-2013 12:01 AM

I hope we don't have to say this isn't serious

But yeah that line with Cogliano and Koivu has been great so far.

Seriously though don't mock Teemu like that, hes a ****ing champ. Its Teemu. The guy doesn't age. Hes a stanley cup winning robot scoring machine and you better show some respect.

Ducksforcup 01-22-2013 12:13 AM

Obviously it is not going to last, but it sure is fun.

That whole line has been dominant. All of them are plus five as well (Koivu, Cogs, and Winnik).

Selanne's had more years being greater than Stamkos than Stamkos has had years being alive.

S E P H 01-22-2013 12:14 AM

OP you forgot to mention he is the King of going offsides.

Prime for prime? Yes. Selanne > stamkos.

Selanne in a *retirement year* vs stamkos hitting his prime... probably give it to stamkos.

Tired of people freaking out and drooling over the rookie of the day.

Winnik looks good. Played well outside of the goals and had someore chances.

CoachBadkitten 01-22-2013 12:17 AM

MVP?!?!? Really OP??

Winnik has the Hart, Selke and Vezina locked up.

No, Getzlaf is the perennial Vezina winner.

That is a fact.
