Viktor Stahlberg

What would your team be willing to give up to get Stahlberg from the Hawks?

lol, yes Viktor...(updated)

BillyShoe1721 01-22-2013 08:52 AM

You mean Viktor Stalberg?

From the Flyers, not much. Not the kind of player we really need.

Wondercarrot 01-22-2013 09:14 AM

Step right up folks, bidding starts at any pick in the 1st round. 20 goals 40+ pts last year.

Hawkaholic 01-22-2013 09:19 AM

Stalberg isn't worth a 1st rounder, and Chicago doesn't need any more picks that are outside of the 1st round. We already have too many prospects as it is.

coldsteelonice84 01-22-2013 09:22 AM

Yeah, if you want to give up a legit 2C for Stalberg or a legit goalie for Stalberg, we MIGHT be interested depending on who it is. That is all.

Wondercarrot 01-22-2013 09:24 AM

Ok so not worth a first rounder but would take a legit 2nd line center or a starting goalie.

Anyone willing to offer a starting goalie or a legit #2 center?

GordieHoweHatTrick 01-22-2013 09:29 AM

Why so many trade proposals involving Stalberg? He can provide offense from the 3rd line. I think he's pretty good, always liked him with the Leafs and he's gotten better since

ChiGuySez 01-22-2013 09:29 AM

Definitely worth a first rounder+ and not at the bottom of the draft. 22 es goals. Plus size and speed. Hes not going to be given away.

Chelios 01-22-2013 09:37 AM

Seeing that Brouwer got a first round pick, I would imagine Stalberg could get similar (late 1st round, early 2nd round).

Wondercarrot 01-22-2013 09:38 AM

Ok anyone offering a mid first rounder + for Stahlberg?

Brouwer was pending RFA

Stalberg is pending UFA ,, That will hurt value

What are you on about Bugs?
You're not a Hawk's fan that's for sure, I guess from your own words " I like to argue " says it all.

xX Hot Fuss 01-22-2013 11:03 AM

Stalberg doesn't fit in with the Hawks cap plans. Unless he wants to sign a Frolik-esque deal then he's going to be gone. I'll happily take a 1st for him. Maybe even package him with some prospects to get a mid round 1st.

Stalberg + Morin + Beach for a 1st in the 11-16 range?

no im not a hawks fan.
and i do like to argue.

im not sure what either of those things have to do with anything.
have i violated some HF boards code that "you shalt not discuss the value of Stalberg with anyone outside of Chicago fans?"

There is a discussion on the Chicago board about his value so i thought id get a, you know, objective opinion. ive been told his value is significantly higher than Bishop whose value was a 2nd round pick. I disagree and dont think anyone is giving you a 1st round pick of any kind for him.
Maybe im wrong, so i thought id see what others thought. Isnt that what the boards are for?

i havent suggested his value either way in this thread until now in response to your weird post.

Kshahdoo 01-22-2013 12:19 PM

He was relatively good in KHL, so he has skill (yeah, you can't be good on the big surface w/o skill). As to other qualities, can't say a lot...

HawkeyLife07 01-22-2013 12:21 PM

How ****ing obsessed are these boards with prospects?

You will be extremely fortunate if a first rounder after pick 10 became a Viktor Stalberg.

In what world is Vik not worth a first but Brouwer and Gaustad are?

Guy got 43 points last year with no PP time. He has PP time now (where he screened Smith beautifully on Bolland's goal), and had an absolute snipe against Smith.

Hawks have a lot of youngsters but they aren't about to fill every wing spot with them.

Just wait, Stalberg haters.

Plus as Hawks fans have said.. What would we do with a first rounder? Our team is kicking ass right now.

In what scenario is Stalberg not part of their plans?

Without Stalberg we have Bickell and Frolik on the third line... If Saad doesn't pan out, he will be needed on the top line...

I just don't get how people look at Stalberg and prospects like Hayes or Morin and think he's worth the same because of what the prospects "could be".

FakeKidPoker* 01-22-2013 12:35 PM

Think good as a center piece for a Luongo trade.

Sarava 01-22-2013 12:36 PM

Let's wait until after Saturday's game to trade Stalberg. His value will be higher then

Gaustad was traded for a 1st.

No, Stalberg is worth a 1st and at the TD even more

Sure at the TD anything for picks gets more...but why would the Hawks gimp themselves by trading a useful roster player for a pick as they are heading to the playoffs? That makes no sense.

TOGuy14 01-22-2013 12:45 PM

Stalberg only really has value to teams that get to frequently play Columbus

BonMorrison 01-22-2013 12:47 PM

Leaf fans are going to be clamoring to trade Kulemin for Stalberg.

We have a new whipping boy, as you can see.

TorstenFrings 01-22-2013 12:49 PM

San Jose was supposedly looking for fast bottom6 wings.

HappyGilmourr 01-22-2013 12:51 PM

I always liked Stalberg the guy is big and ridiculously fast he's one of the fastest players in the NHL - He has all the makings to be a star just doesn't have the hockey sense to be a star. Still a good 2/3 line player if I was the Red Wings I would be all over Stalberg.
