Anyone know the lines for tonight?

Just wondering who we are going to be icing against the Nucks tonight?

I sure hope to see some "legit" line combos to get an idea where things are at.

Digger12 09-22-2003 02:13 PM

So here we are less than 2 hours from game time, and nobody's heard what the lineup will be?

Guess I'm just hoping it'll be a bit more of a competitive game, need information! ;)

Cerebral 09-22-2003 03:21 PM

We should see lines much closer to the opening day lines tonight.. the Oilers have cut down their roster significantly over the week and I'm hoping we'll finally see a line of Isbister - Smyth - Hemsky out there!

Lowetide 09-22-2003 03:22 PM

Stauffer had a nice interview just now with Billy Moores on his show today. iho Conklin, Bergeron, Luoma, Torres and Salmelainen have stood out.

Moores also said Rita has the ability to shoot the puck and get it on the net, but hasa to win more one on one battles.

As for the lineup, I imagine Rita won't play a third game in a row, Staios likely won't play, Horcoff and Moreau might get the night off.

Should be a pretty veteran laden lineup for the first home game.

Cerebral 09-22-2003 03:48 PM

Cerebral 09-22-2003 04:05 PM

Shorty & Larsh are a couple of the better announcers. Pretty fair all around imo.

USC Trojans 09-22-2003 04:16 PM

Ah hah....our wishes have been granted.

Isbister - Smyth - Hemsky on one line.

1-0 Oilers on goal by Hemsky, assist Isbister, Smyth.

Isbister - Smyth - Hemsky
Chimera - Reasoner - Dvorak
Torres - Stoll - Wright
Rita - Sarno - Salmelainen

Semenov - Luoma
Cross - Staios
Ferguson - Bergeron (Yikes!!!)

Salo
Valiquette

Is anyone actually hearing the game over the radio?? I'm only getting old playoff games on 630 Ched/the Vancouver radio station :dunno:

Lowetide 09-22-2003 04:27 PM

I'm listening to the radio (CHED). Luoma made a nice outlet pass on the goal, but from the sounds of things had a pretty bad shift just now.

Cerebral 09-22-2003 04:28 PM

Are you listening on the radio or over the internet?

Lowetide 09-22-2003 04:30 PM

I'm listening to the radio.

TheBrew 09-22-2003 04:31 PM

sounds like the Isbister Smyth Hemsky line is playing really well :)

Cerebral 09-22-2003 04:40 PM

I hate all you Edmonton-dwellers.. I'm stuck in Calgary where 630 CHED comes through like a snowstorm! Oh well, i'm still glad to see Hemsky score.. at least nhl.com's Scoresheet is updating relatively fast!

Waveburner 09-22-2003 04:45 PM

The Oilers seemed to pretty much own that period, except for the odd WCE shift...

Like the other guy said....

Go to www.cknw.com

CKNW

Then hit "Listen Live!". You'll get the broadcast with only about a minute of delay. It's a Vancouver feed but it's all good.

So why does McTavish have only 29 guys on the roster right now? Isn't he kindof concerned about playing his stars too much..then again you guys only have about 5 pre-season games left.

Me too, man. The pain and suffering we have to go through is unheard of. :joker:
