NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

I loved the way we responded, both in the second period and with a big goal in overtime.
- Henrik Lundqvist

This was a very big win for us after two losses. We needed this win badly.
- Marian Gaborik

We didn’t break, we didn’t give whereas the past couple of games, that was nowhere to be found as far as stepping back up.
- John Tortorella

Heads Up: The GDT is work in progress.

Greg02 01-23-2013 10:15 PM

Let's get a streak going.

Krampus 01-23-2013 10:17 PM

Flyers will be hungry. Then again, that looks like the worst second line in the league

Megustaelhockey 01-23-2013 10:18 PM

Start Marty in this game?

BlueshirtBlitz 01-23-2013 10:18 PM

Flyers due for a W. Don't see them going 0-4 unless the Rangers really deserve a win.

Hope they don't take them lightly and start off as well as they did tonight.

broadwayblue 01-23-2013 10:19 PM

Flyers are really banged up. Let's take it to them and get back to .500.

bettercallstaal 01-23-2013 10:20 PM

Right back at it. I like it!

Rather play hanke just to get his confidence back, he doesn't look so great rn.

We need to get a streak going right now. We don't have that much time.

Machinehead 01-23-2013 10:25 PM

Well, we got a win...

Feel the same way.

That being said, start Biron tomorrow and Lundqvist on Saturday.

RGY 01-23-2013 10:27 PM

Marty should play. So should Kreider for that matter since we have the ridiculous discussions going on about him going to the minors. Let the kid get some damn confidence. And let him get it against a very suspect defense, a team without Hartnell due to injury, and Brayden Schenn due to a suspension. Plus I don't think Briere and Meszaros are 100% after recovering from injuries. Get that 2nd win of the season. They need to be on the attack from the get go like tonight.

FultonReed 01-23-2013 10:31 PM

do it again!

LGR! :yo:

Tony D63 01-23-2013 10:32 PM

So looks like scoring isn't the problem any more. If hanke and the defense step up, we will be a very tuf team to play against.

Krampus 01-23-2013 10:34 PM

Hank tomorrow, Marty against the Leafs

3rdlineglory 01-23-2013 10:39 PM

I know the Flyers are "due" for a win, but they are really banged up right now. The Rangers should take advantage to get a streak going and bring down the confidence of a fellow contender.

Killem Dafoe 01-23-2013 10:42 PM

Repeat. Except Gabs with 2 goals and Nash with a Hattrick. Ricktrick? Nashtrick?

Giacomin 01-23-2013 10:43 PM

Rangers are better than the Flyers. They should win!

BlueSwag 01-23-2013 11:01 PM

Flyers lineup looks very mediocre with all those injuries. Rangers should win!

Fitzy 01-23-2013 11:10 PM

We can do without the arrogance. Early season, no camp playing in the second of a back to back. Good news is we only have 4 more to go after this one.

The Flyers will play us tough. They have had a tough start and are going to want to get a win in the worst way.

Dactyl* 01-23-2013 11:10 PM

shut down giroux and exploit their ****** defense

Kane One 01-23-2013 11:13 PM

I'm not a fan of starting Biron here. I know Lundqvist is off his game, but he's our best bet if you want to take care of a struggling team.

Especially since they didn't get one against us last year.

Captain Taco 01-23-2013 11:18 PM

Rangers just called up Kris Newbury so now we see what the plan is with him. Most likely to replace Bickel and not Kreider. Hopefully he takes advantage of another chance on the big stage

h0ckeyman 01-23-2013 11:19 PM

Thanks NJ for getting Schenn suspended for our game lol

The Lunatic Fridge 01-23-2013 11:21 PM

Play Biron tomorrow. Philly is crippled on offense its the perfect oppurtunity.

Although Lundqvist does suck against Toronto and Biron Dominates them so...
