Islanders VS Leafs. Back to back encore.

We need to win tonight. That is all.

TmlHockeyFan 01-24-2013 08:51 AM

Projected line up now that Lupul is out?

Go leafs go.

TML g u n n e R s* 01-24-2013 08:52 AM

KEEEPP HeR GOING BOYS!!! LETS GO ON A ROLL!!

Chandrashekhar Limit 01-24-2013 08:53 AM

While I don't expect an easy game, I expect us to win tonight. Team confidence should be high, both goalies have looked decent so far, and the new defensive system gave up just 2 goals against one of the leagues best offensive teams. Hopefully we get to see the offense keep it up tonight.

Go Leafs Go!!

Donmega 01-24-2013 08:55 AM

Really curious who starts in net today. My guess is Scrivens.

SprDaVE 01-24-2013 08:58 AM

We'll see how consistent they are this year.

In the last couple years, the Leafs would win a big game but lay an absolute dud the next day of a back to back.

You can't look past any opponent in this league and the Islanders are no exception. They always give us a run for our money, especially Matt Moulson.

So hopefully they can limit the scoring chances once again.

gustavsson50 01-24-2013 09:00 AM

Probable lines

Mac bozak kessel
Jvr garbo kuli
Frattin/mcclement kadri kamarov
Brown steckel brown

Everything else remain same except komi out franson in

And maybe scrivens play today.

I can do better:

Kadri Bozak Kessel
JVR Grabovski Kulemin
MacArthur McClement Komarov
Brown Steckel Orr / Frattin

Good way to work Steckel back in the lineup.

Orr could be sitting after a big fight last night, Frattin could slot in for him and work his way back in the lineup.

I think there's a small chance Connolly is back too. If he is called up instead of Frattin, he could center the third line.

416Leafer 01-24-2013 09:07 AM

Classic Toronto.

Beat a world class team one night, get blown out by bottom feeders the next night. Hopefully that's a trend that has changed! We've looked better defensively, so that's a promising sign (granted 3 games, small sample size).

iArts 01-24-2013 09:10 AM

Komisarek has a team-leading +/- He deserves to play.

thewave 01-24-2013 09:11 AM

Showing off Fran?

JAMmer124 01-24-2013 09:13 AM

Not saying that this is what it will be, but I'd like to see:

Kulemin-Bozak-Kessel
JVR-Grabo-Mac
Komarov-Kadri-Frattin
Brown-McClement-Orr

Get Kule in the dirty areas to free up the puck along the boards and in the corners for Kessel and Bozak. Worked in Bozaks rookie season very well.

My ideal lineup too.

KuleminFan41 01-24-2013 09:17 AM

We should start Reimer imo. Keep him going,he helped huge in beating Pittsburgh

JVR-Grabo-Kulemin did a really good job last night. Got 3 goals, Kulemin had 3 assists, I wouldn't want to split them up.

Personally I like

Kadri-Bozak-Kessel
JVR-Grabo-Kulemin
Komarov-McClement-MacArthur
Brown-Steckel-Orr

The Kessel Run 01-24-2013 09:19 AM

Slightly OT, but did the Leafs make a roster move to activate Gards last night? I assume Fraser was waived?

I thought of that but Kadri needs to stay in the middle of the ice IMO, it's where he has played the best by far.

Anthrax442 01-24-2013 09:22 AM

Where does it say Komo is out today?

BonMorrison 01-24-2013 09:23 AM

I say just keep the lineups status quo from last game.

The way the second line played, you can't break that up. Kadri should stay at center so he can keep honing his game there.

MacArthur - Bozak - Kessel
Van Riemsdyk - Grabovski - Kulemin
xxx - Kadri - Komarov
Brown - McClement - Orr

Phaneuf - Kostka
Gardiner - Liles
Gunnarsson - Komisarek

xxx is whoever gets called up.

Holzer sent to the Marlies

CellarDweller0 01-24-2013 09:24 AM

i think that it was Holzer was assigned to the AHL

Anthrax442 01-24-2013 09:25 AM

Why they need a callup, Steckel is with the team.

Because most people would prefer having more offence rather than Steckel who provides very little. Frattin would provide that.
