I'll go with Maia just to be different. This is going to be like the Strikeforce cards where we all have the same picks for the most part.

I don't think I've ever been this excited about a fight 155lbs or lower since maybe BJ v Sherk. Throw in two co-main events and this is awesome.

Absolutely love this card. One thing to note is that Steve Mazzagati is reffing the main event and Adalaide Byrd is judging it. Yes, the same judge that gave it 30-27 to Guillard. So if this goes to the judges score cards, flip what you think happens and you'll be right.

Judging by the seat map on Ticketmaster, this event should smash all records for the amount of free tickets given out by the UFC for a Vegas event. :D

?

Looks like there's at most about 1000 tickets unsold at this point. Give it another week and I highly doubt that's the case.

Do we want to pick all the fights for PPVs?

I'm good with just the main card.

BGDDYKWL 01-28-2013 05:39 AM

I can't believe Aldo's as high as -260 for this fight. We're essentially saying he's MUCH better than anyone at 155? I'm not so sure about that.

I say all of them. That way we won't have 10 guys tied with a 4-1 record.

Then maybe one of you guys wouldnt mind taking over and tallying the results for everyone for the year?

OG Kuch 01-30-2013 12:12 AM

I agree that we should pick all the fights for PPV's. Main cards only for all of them is weak.

Oh no I fully appreciate what northstars does for us, and if he would prefer that we just do the main card then I'm all for that. I didn't recall reading that that was his preference, but if so, then by all means.

Im not interested in guessing who will win in matches between fighters who Ive never seen before and never heard of. Where is the fun in that?

Picking from the main cards for the most part will have fighters people are familiar with, making it much more interesting imo. Yes you may have cards where multiple guys end up with similar results, but if you stretch that out over 12 months, there will be separation. Its already starting to happen after two or three cards.

I really dont see what the attraction is with picking fights on the undercards.
