confirmed. Knuble is a Flyer again. Classy guy. Very intelligent about the game and anything else that matters. And a good fit, I feel
Maybe he already did?

wej20 01-24-2013 06:36 PM

Can't seeing him being that effective.

BigHabs 01-24-2013 06:38 PM

His age has caught up to him. His game has really fallen off.

Maybe in the right situations he could become very effective. But this no way close to replacing what Hartnell brings to the table if thats what this is suppose to be.

More of a locker room guy, than anything I would assume.

His waiver period should be done around noon tomorrow

Deal hasn't been made NHL official just yet

GKJ 01-24-2013 06:40 PM

They couldn't do nothing. We lost too much offense in the summer, and now more with Hartnell and Briere out.

Petes2424 01-24-2013 06:40 PM

Good for Mike. I know he's been skating with Detroit and took a tryout with Grand Rapids hoping for a chance.

There's your replacement for Hartnell.

Johnny McBravo 01-24-2013 06:43 PM

Meh, not a good replacement for Hartnell.

Hopefully for cheap, he is familiar with the system. It should be a good signing depending on if he has ANY NHL foot speed left in him. Good luck.

You don't just replace a player like hartnell

cska78 01-24-2013 06:47 PM

Knuble will be fine, his game was never about the speed.

vippe 01-24-2013 06:47 PM

Good for Mike, probably his last season.. he had a great run with the Caps his first year but really faltered last season.

Hopefully he has a good time

Brewsky 01-24-2013 06:51 PM

Slow as ****.

captainpaxil 01-24-2013 06:56 PM

he wont be able to keep pace with the young guys but seeing a veteran put in the effort is great for a team as young as the flyers. not the ideal system but he plants in front of the goal well and may be able to teach simmonds a thing or two.

Laughton doesn't count as a contract slot yet so it can go through.

PensBandwagonerNo272 01-24-2013 06:59 PM

One of my favorite players even though he's always on rival teams. Hopefully he gets to keep his roster spot even when the Flyers get healthy.

FlyersFan61290 01-24-2013 07:02 PM

I like it. He can't replace Hartnell but he's a great vet that will do whatever he's told. It's a short season so if he's got anything left he could really help the special teams. will help the young guys too. He's definitely better then Sestito and Shelley (who are both playing to night).

Weakside Lock 01-24-2013 07:05 PM

He'll come in useful against the Pens. Other than that...

Aside from getting his nose dirty in front...Knuble could help Philly in that regard. Possibly on the PP too.

This isn't more so a replacement as it is a "stop-gap"

I'm not sure Knuble is worth that last contract spot...

Capgeek has 52 contracts

Mathers and Cousins slides

Laughton still counts since he's in the NHL

Hovinen clears tomorrow at 12 and then we will be at 49

deytookerjaabs 01-24-2013 07:27 PM

Gotta be better than Brunette was for the Hawks last year.
