Props for the "Emery" pic.

Also, I was at that game last year, and I had a hat out on the ice because if it. Fun game, let's hope he does it again.

Why not give Phil a chance, can't possibly be worse then Ray.

RedBaronIndian 01-26-2013 12:55 AM

Whats the over/under for the number of Stalberg goals? :D

WarriorofTime 01-26-2013 01:04 AM

Total trap game. I expect the Hawks to come out flat after a day off as they congratulate themselves on a 3-0 start and head into Columbus expecting an easy win against the meager Blue Jackets. Columbus should come out with a lot of energy playing a Central Division foe and one of the top teams in the conference. Think the Hawks should still pull out the win though cuz Columbus is pretty bad.

UsernameWasTaken 01-26-2013 07:12 AM

why is emery starting? crawford had an off day :(

brtriad 01-26-2013 07:21 AM

The Berg must be licking his chops right now.

DisgruntledHawkFan 01-26-2013 07:50 AM

Do goals against CBus count for fantasy purposes? Or just not Stalbergs?

3-0 ??? what happened ? Did the nhl take a win away as punishment for something ??:D

Jeffrey Lebowski 01-26-2013 08:59 AM

This is one of those games that I feel like everything adds up for a loss: 4-0 start, everything seems to be going well, our back-up is playing, Cbus is not that great of a team...

Hope I'm wrong, but I could see us looking past this game.

Emery is starting (if he's starting) because we have a back-to-back tomorrow and they probably want Crawford playing against Detroit instead of Columbus.

I have Stalberg, so they better count.

deytookerjaabs 01-26-2013 09:06 AM

If our offense doesn't dominate it will come down to Bobrovsky Vs. Emery which means my money is on Bobs.

stingo 01-26-2013 09:14 AM

Offense is going to win us this game. Not goaltending. Go Hawks.

If we stay with these 2 all year, offense is going to have to win us every game.

Which inevitably ends in it all crashing and burning come playoff time. Offence alone will not win you anything at crunch time.

xX Hot Fuss 01-26-2013 10:32 AM

Stalberg will score 23 goals tonight

UsernameWasTaken 01-26-2013 11:17 AM

Aaron Portzline ‏@Aportzline
Looks like G Corey Crawford will start tonight vs #CBJ

Chris Hansen 01-26-2013 11:19 AM

Well, they better be using him back-to-back, otherwise we might as well write off the game Sunday vs. Detroit as a loss.

TorMenT 01-26-2013 11:25 AM

Detroit has a ton of injuries now and had some of their best players retire this year. I think at home, that game we are still a favorite even with Emery starting.

Blackhawkswincup 01-26-2013 11:32 AM

Gonna be tougher for Hawks then in years past

Jackets dumped Nash who's effort always was questionable and picked up some quality two way 2nd/3rd liners in Dubinsky/Anisimov/Foligno

Alot of speed in there lineup and depth comnpared to past meetings

Also the upgraded in net with Bobrovsky

Defensively, they're still pretty bad.

Cullksinikers 01-26-2013 11:44 AM

The offense is doing too well to get halted by their bad defense and goaltending.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't think they're a very good team. But I don't want to see Datsyuk or Zetterberg getting an opportunity to play a game against Ray Emery.

IU Hawks fan 01-26-2013 11:46 AM

Mason for Columbus tonight, per Daily Faceoff.

I don't mind going CC tonight and Emery tomorrow if that is the case. Emery was money at home last year, and if he doesn't start tomorrow he wouldn't get any home starts the first month. And there's no excuse to lose to Detroit even with him in, that team isn't very good and the Hawks should be able to bury them off the rush.
