Which guest muscians would you like to return on this album?

I think Alice Cooper did an amazing job on "The Toy Master", and it would be fantastic to see him on board again. Jorn Lande, Rob Rock and Klaus Meine should return too,aAnd Bruce Dickinson would be a dream come true. Imagine Kiske and Dickinson on the same song... :yo:

Common people!

Never heard Tobias Sammets Avantasia? Do you like any of this albums guest stars? Do you enjoy musicans such as Alice Cooper, Klaus Meine or Rob Rock? If the answer is yes, than you MUST listen to them :yo:

Since Avantasia have many sounds and explore many genres, i recomend you to listen to atleast 6 songs when you give them a try!
The 6 songs to start with is:

The Scarecrow (feat Jorn Lande)
Farwell (feat Sharon den Adel)
Dying for an Angel (feat Klaus Meine)
Runaway Train (feat Bob Catley, Michael Kiske, Jorn Lande)
Avantasia
The Tower (feat Michael Kiske, David DeFeis, Oliver Hartmann, Andre Matos, Timo Tolkki)

Ok... The Tower and The Seven Angels, and I'll take Kiske and Hansen ftw. :) And cordially invite Hansi to join in.

I don't really care for Avantasia, I do like Edguy though.

And as far as "rock operas" go, I definitely like Ayreon much more.

The Human Equation is one of the best metal albums ever.

Hansi would be nice, he did great on Edguys "Out of Controll", i think his voice would fit very well in Avantasia. I think "The Wicked Symphony" is on the same level as TT and TSA, maybe TSA is better but it is still a 10/10 track :yo:

I think in Edguy, Tobias writes a lot better metal, but in Avantasia, his music is better. Never listened that much to Ayreon actully, but i liked what i've heard. Since Arjen Lucassen is playing guitar on this album, you should give it go ;)

This have to be one of the coolest album covers i have ever seen. It has such a nice aura and atmosphere. The fantasyvibes it creates is just fantastic. A masterpiece.

Everlasting 02-11-2013 01:30 PM

Guess who will appear on the album and the tour? Thats right. Bob Catley! He also say that he will see Amanda on the tour so i guess we can count in Amanda Sommerville too.

"NEW AVANTASIA SINGLE ‘SLEEPWALKING’ AVAILABLE ON 22.03.2013"

Source: http://kiskefanclub.com/?p=1492

A new musicvideo might be realsed the same day too, and it sounds like something that could be huge on modern radio judging from the poor radio rip i have heard of it.

On March 22nd the new AVANTASIA single "Sleepwalking" will hit the online stores for downloading. Tobias and AVANTASIA have also shot a video clip for the song. Check out the images below to get an impression of what the Sleepwalking video will look and feel like. The video was shot in a magical forest in Germany on a snowy winter‘s night. Tobias comments: "It was far below freezing. And there we were, standing in the snow storm for hours, walking through a haunted forest. It felt a bit like Sleepy Hollow meets Brothers Grimm, but the pictures that came out were really great and compensated for the torture."

About the song itself Tobias says: "Sleepwalking is the most enchanting pop song I've ever written. Yes, it's a pop song, and I am the first to admit it. I love stuff like A-Ha, Cutting Crew, Enya and Sarah Brightman. You know, the whole album is a journey, someone said, that "The Mystery Of Time“ is the most adventurous AVANTASIA album to date. What makes AVANTASIA what it is, is its diversity. We have five double bass songs, two big epics, a beautiful flamboyantly orchestrated ballad, and monumental mid tempo groovy stuff with big choirs. AVANTASIA has always been defined by its diversity and mingling of styles. It is an Epic Metal record and there are so many different things to be discovered, you have to give the album at least ten listens to discover half of what's going on. Sleepwalking are four wonderful minutes out of 60 minutes, but there is not one song on the album that can represent AVANTASIA on its own, it's the full 60 minutes you have to pay attention to, to grasp the magic of this piece!"

The new album "The Mystery Of Time" will hit the stores on March 29th, "Sleepwalking" will be released on March 22nd.

I know i'm not, but yeah... it is quite lonely in this thread. However, with Sleepwalking out in just 1.2 days, things might change! You heard what Sammet said in that interview, its his "most enchanting pop song ever written", so he should hopefully be able to steal some new fans with it :handclap:

I heard a poor radio rip of that song, and it was freaking fantastic!

Pshaw. I love Avantasia. But just... well, not as much as Everlasting does. Or maybe he's the only one here that is actually in the band. :naughty:

Everlasting 03-22-2013 08:46 AM

New song is out! :handclap:

Maybe i am god? ;)

Sleepwalking is sooo awesome. Reminds me a bit of bon jovi.

Everlasting 07-07-2013 02:33 PM

This album is amazing. Not as good overall as previous albums. I give it an 8.5 / 10. It is on the same level as AOB, but above.

Anyone seen them live? Eric Martin sings Twisted Mind :amazed: :yo:

They also play in Canada tomorow.
