Oh well, I was close.

Great win.

Florida Ranger 01-26-2013 08:48 PM

Fire Torts!

NYRANGERAMI 01-26-2013 08:48 PM

Forget that good, bad, and redden tonight.

Great game by the Rangers. Let the avalanche begin. LGR!!!!!!!!!!!

theJUMPER 01-26-2013 08:48 PM

Great job.

Still worried as it's becoming clear this is a one line team.

dmjt4160 01-26-2013 08:48 PM

precisely why the first period meltdown was dumb, we dominated all 60 minutes of that game

Gaborik
Staal
Richards

but pretty much everyone played really really well

aemoreira1981 01-26-2013 08:49 PM

All I can say is that now that Rick Nash has talent around which to play, the sky is now the limit for him - 8 points for his line tonight.

Killem Dafoe 01-26-2013 08:49 PM

-Gaborik
-Nash
-Del Zotto

Redden scored tonight for the Blues

rholt168 01-26-2013 08:49 PM

Gabby handing that puck to the little girl was cute.

silverfish 01-26-2013 08:49 PM

Hands down the best period of the season.

Let's see if they can keep it rolling Tuesday.

NYRangers723 01-26-2013 08:49 PM

Big win however there is still concern. Hopefully with Arnott and kreider getting healthy we will have more depth

Ailurophile 01-26-2013 08:50 PM

Alright Barb, give me the new avatar.

Brian Boyle 01-26-2013 08:50 PM

3 stars:

1. Gaborik
2. Nash
3. Del Zotto
HM: Marc Staal

Good: Pretty much everyone
Bad: Defense on the goals against, PP
Redden: Nothing, maybe the powerplay

This looked like a game from last year. Speed, tenacity, physicality, well timed goals, rock solid D. HUGE win, I think this could be a catalyst for a winning streak.

Oh, and the gate was left open again.

GloveSave35 01-26-2013 08:50 PM

Gabby
Staal
Richards

Let's hope tonight is the turning point.

Kershaw 01-26-2013 08:50 PM

The bandwagon is full again.

Even when they were trailing, they were dominating the opposition. So happy with the team's effort tonight.

Hagelin won so many puck battles. Boyle hit everything in sight. Del Zotto played great at both ends.

Blueshirt Believer 01-26-2013 08:50 PM

Nice to get the win from being down 2.

But this team has some serious system issues. We got the bounces in the 3rd, but they can't be too happy with this game.

It was unbearable for the first two periods. Especially their breakouts. I don't think its a personnel or effort problem. These are system issues that were around last year; they are just more pronounced this year.

They REALLY needed to win this game, another loss would have put them in a serious hole. At least now they have something to work with.

Holy cow can't I think about it first? Might even make one up especially for you...

haveandare 01-26-2013 08:51 PM

What are half the posters going to talk about until the next game?

But seriously, they needed that win and they played an incredible third. I think they really just needed confidence. You could see them all skating harder and playing smarter once they built up a head of steam, everyone, including Boyle, Hagelin, Stepan, Staal and the other whipping boys so far.

WPGNYRFan 01-26-2013 08:51 PM

I melted down early because of the start we've had combined with our record when the Rangers play the Leafs when my mother-in-law is over to watch with us. Usually we get stomped when she watches her Leafs play us.

Bickel41 01-26-2013 08:51 PM

About time the Blueshirts stepped it up!

silverfish 01-26-2013 08:51 PM

Also, that wasn't Boyle's goal. But, I'm being picky :p:

Machinehead 01-26-2013 08:51 PM

Three stars:

1)As a unit, the EW&F line. 8 points. Count 'em; EIGHT!!!

2)Marc Staal. Great on D and fueled the comeback on offense.

3)What the hell, I lied Ferriero's effort, I'll toss him a bone.
