Jagr is probable to play. Larsen, who knows at this point. Haven't seen anything mentioned yet. Would imagine he is back in...he better be back in.

Benn?

Ranger fan but Benn, Ryder and Whitney dynasty owner here with a question for y'all:

First off, is Benn definitly playing tonight seeing I heard on TV other night watching Stars/Blues on Center Ice, Razer saying it wasn't definite due to potential visa issues still? Secondly, as you can see by players I mention above and my having observed your boys quite a bit over the years, couldn't you see this Benn centering Ryder and Whitney line being a pretty dang effective one and when Roy gets back, have him between Ericksson and Jagr? Thoughts?

TrillMike 01-28-2013 08:38 AM

I've been out of the loop since Saturday. What's the goalie situation looking like? If Kari tweaked something on Thurs is it smart to play him tonight?

Benn is expected to play, just keep an eye on his status. His paperwork has to be done by 4 today (not sure if that's central or eastern. His line will def be productive. I'd rather see him centering Loui and Jagr though.

Cool...thanks for reply. Would be a shame if this Benn visa stuff didn't get done in time seeing Columbus, even though they do seem somewhat improved, would be pretty high on the list of teams I'd like to have as my first opponent after a long layoff...eh? Pretty nice scenerio you guy have now seeing Benn centering Loui and Jagr would be nice as well but I'm holding out hope it's Ryder and Whitney he's with as I think that line would be en fuego. We'll see...thanks again.

Don't think it was to serious since they brought him in late Saturday.

Dorsett's in their top 6...?

:help:

That's been the case, as, we assume, Richards looks to achieve some balance across the lines. Despite being a willing pugilist and a bit of a dunderhead, Dorsett is a good athlete with decent hands.

That said, most CBJ fans would tell you it's not working and would like to see that changed. He is best suited to third-line duty where his forechecking would be put to good use and whatever offense he gave you would be a bonus.

Nice GDT and appreciate the info on Benn and Jagr.

EDIT:
Updated morning skate lines as reported by CBJ social media:
Umberger - Anisimov - Dorsett
Foligno - Johansen - Prospal
Calvert - Dubinsky - Brassard
Gillies - Letestu - Boll

@RobMixer #CBJ lines this morning: 18-42-15, 9-10-40, 71-19-22, 11-17-16. Defense pairs remain the same.
@RobMixer Those are in no particular order, just as they take rushes.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new BJ's. I've always liked Dubinsky since he's what I wish Ott could have been. Play the game hard but leave the damn theatrics and BS off the ice.

Roy officially out. Isn't on trip at all.

D pairs from Heika...
Dillon-Robidas, Jordie Benn-Daley, Goligoski-Larsen

They're moving forward it seems like Benn will play. Looks like Roy is out though, and MORROW IS STILL ON THE 4TH LINE!!!!!!!!!

Am absolutely shocked. Seriously though, Reilly scratched?

I really do like those lines. Plus I believe this means Larsen is on the PP.

I was going to bring this up, but I think Gully is just playing D pairs on the PP. I bet we see Goli-Larsen on the top PP and Benn-Daley on the 2nd.

At least ... that's the only reason I think you could justify Benn on the PP early on.

These pairs aren't perfect, but they're as good as you can make with these 7 IMO.

I'd still like to see Oleksiak and with Goli, and put Larsen back with Dillon.

Really happy with those lines, but only thing that's bothering me is R.Smith being scratched .. But once Roy is back I think he'll be the odd man out and will get sent down. Other then that Larsen is back and LOUI-BENN-JAGR!!! Can't wait!!

I like the lines, as long as it isn't actually saying Dillon/Robi will be the top pair. :amazed:
