Hey guys! Posting it now. This is a work in progress as I will post lineups as soon as I get them. Probably tomorrow morning as I get better information. Stay tuned. Also, just realized this GDT is not, phone/tablet friendly. I will be sure to address that if I ever do another GDT. If there is something missing or you would like to see as part of the GDT, let me know i'll do my best to accommodate. Special thanks to moderator 10MM and here's to getting Law back ASAP. Enjoy!

P.S. i just went back and looked at the 1st 1 i did ..awful just awful lol

Theres like a negative percent chance well win this game. Best we can hope for is Nabokov somehow turning into patrick roy for the night and keeping the isle killers crosby and malkin at bay. Other than that, this has all the makings of an absolute blowout loss on national tv. Wouldnt be the first time, would it?

The loss of Hamonic may spiral the team. Just look at what losing mcdonald did for the young isles last year, they spiraled out of control.

Whatever, cant expect too much with this roster. Especially against the pens.

Bunk Moreland 01-28-2013 10:26 PM

Great job Truman.. The boys need to come out of the gate strong tomorrow try to catch the Penguins napping. Not going to say it's impossible you play the game for a reason cause anything could happen. If they do win it'd be a pretty big boost for this team early in the season missing Hammer.

IslesBeBack* 01-28-2013 10:37 PM

WITH THE ABOVE SAID, wouldn't it be a really great thing for this franchise to show some balls for once and come out with a big win?

On National Tv?

Grab some momentum?

One can dream.

JTforPres2012 01-28-2013 11:21 PM

Great GDT! Hey, they played the B's well and just ran out of juice. Why not give it another whirl tonight?

Maybe we'll see another fight night without DP getting his face broken?

A few points...

1) 4 page GDT.
2) Did you see our defense?:laugh:
3) Did you see our offense?:laugh::laugh:
4) Did you see our backup goalie?:laugh::laugh::laugh:
5) I even saw a Robbie Schremp (Pre-isles obviously) mention in there.

Cool (If that's what you wanna call our ineptitude) to look back at stuff like this.

how do you figure that?
pittsburgh is NOT playing well, they are 0-1 at home, the islanders have a road win, and believe it or not, pittsburghs goal tending looks worse than long islands.
long island played the bruins pretty tight, ( in boston ) on the ass end of a back to back set.
i dont see anything that points towards a "blow out loss". it very well may turn into one, but i dont see anything that says it "will".

IslandersFan17 01-29-2013 05:51 AM

Although injured, if the Islanders can win this game it would show a big step towards being a legit team. If the Islanders lose it will feel like the same old Islanders over and over again.

I would say that's an understatement! Without Harmonic in the lineup we have 3 rookies on D against one of the best teams in the NHL. :help:

CREW99AW 01-29-2013 06:54 AM

With the isles having blown 3rd period leads, I'm sure the coaches have been on their cases about leaving points on the board.

Let's get a 60 min effort here.:yo:

They absolutely NEED a full 60-minute effort tonight. They have to get it up from the start and not let up at all. I'm not optimistic, but I am hoping that they come out with some points tonight.

WangMustGo 01-29-2013 07:27 AM

is it wrong that i want to see another game like this one?

Dan-o16 01-29-2013 07:28 AM

So this game is on NBC Sports. I guess that means I'm "going" to Montreal tonight.

Cheers,

Dan-o

If we see another game like that we will lose. The Pens powerplay will smoke us if we take too many penalties.:shakehead

Isles hat 01-29-2013 07:51 AM

They must play the whole game and play mistake free hockey.
Nabby needs the D to be on the ball.

Fantom 01-29-2013 08:10 AM

IceAce 01-29-2013 08:37 AM

sooo....

nationally televised game, on the road, against a Division opponent, with our best defenseman (arguably) out for the game...

yup, this is going to end well. :help:

whackbag 01-29-2013 08:53 AM

i have faith the system seems to be dictating the flow of our team these days. it all comes down to full 60 minute effort no more and no less!

What... is MacDonald out?

Sorry guys, but as much as I too LOVE da Hammer, he's not been our best Dman this year. Seen a number of lots battles and positioning blunders from him thus far in this young season, which is a bit disappointing considering he was playing during the lockout. On the other hand, I feel his head injury from the beginning of December really threw him out of the loop a bit.
