Penalty Killers...

Wanderson 01-29-2013 09:12 PM

Nabby & Reasoner.

Never seen Reasoner play that good. I hope he will continue with that. :)

BillD 01-29-2013 09:12 PM

Voted @Grabs40 and Nabby.

Grabs was terrific on PK and kept pressure on every time he rushed the puck. Great stick work on defense also.

A Pointed Stick 01-29-2013 09:12 PM

Nabby obviously, but gave Cizikas a point for his first.

Honestly there was good play from any number of guys tonight. The team showed resiliency after the OT loss. +1 for the club.

Renbarg 01-29-2013 09:12 PM

Grabner for his goal and for representing the penalty killers.

I voted for everyone because it was a total team effort tonight and I want to see this a lot. One of the most complete games I have seen in a while. BTW Hamonic AND Amac should be options, they played the most minutes on the team and were going against Crosby AND Malkin all night. Also Hamonic deserves it because I can't believe he even played tonight.(Logged 25 minutes tonight when he was a game time decision.)

bvon44 01-29-2013 09:13 PM

Nabby and Grabner.

Nabby, Grabs, and Cizikas. I had to give Casey a vote, the kid netted his 1st NHL goal.

You have to think Strait was pretty pumped for this game.

19NYSports91 01-29-2013 09:22 PM

Amac-Hamonic don't get enough credit imo

i couldnt argue with that even if you put a gun to my head.

one thing ive noticed about the penalty killers this year as opposed to last year, the current crop of penalty killers DO NOT freeze the puck. they keep the action going. i remember seeing 2 stopages during a penalty kill tonight. one was when nabakov caught and held the puck, and the other was when nielson deflected the puck into the crowd. if you can keep a steady flow to the game while killing penalties.....you will have success.

Well he was +2, shut down Malkin's line and solid on the PK. All that being said I probably should have voted Nielsen for the same reasons(although he was even but shut down Crosby) but I guess you expect more out of Nielsen. lol

Grabner. It's amazing how much he's morphed from last season. He was VERY passive last year and now this time around he's moving all over the ice, and his stick is always active. Great to see how much he's blossomed. Hope he keeps it up.
