Appreciative Fan Appreciation Thread

You were there to sing the "Ole" song.

Or maybe you weren't.

But you generally have positive things to say about the team, or- at the very least- are constructive with your criticism.

For all you do (or don't do), this thread's for you.:thumbu:

Discuss.

andy said after the game that the fans really got them going. he loves hearing the alfie chant at 1111.

It makes a difference. Go fans Go:handclap:

ARed 01-31-2013 03:44 PM

I thought the "Ole Ole" when Ottawa was crushing Montreal was awesome! haha

What's with the buffoons who show up at SBP games in Leafs jerseys in random (non-Leaf) games, eh?

that kind of stuff that the other team fans think is funny like singing ole ole in our building or chanting alfie sucks or just showing up in leaf jerseys only motivates the players and management to kick their ***** even harder. they're probably too dumb to realize it or just underestimate us, so they can go ahead and keep it up. i dare them. in time they will be sorry. (or just sad)

I love the evolution of our fan base. Finally the life long Sens fans can afford seasons tickets. The silent Sens fan will soon be a thing of the past.

Orr123 01-31-2013 05:19 PM

It is really nice to see the sens fans getting better and better. I've been a fan forever, and now I actually meet sens fans around more and more. Its great to see!

at the end yes, but the first time?

I was playing touch football last night and missed the 3rd period. Anyone have a clip of Sens fan sarcastically singing Ole?

I think the poster was referring to the fact their idiot fans in our building starting singing Ole after what they thought was an insurmountable 1-0 lead less than 3 minutes into the game.

The mocking Ole chants later....? That was beautiful. I also loved how Sportsnet and TSN made a point to show the Habs "faithful" bolting out of the arena en mass with 10 minutes to go in the game. HA HA HA!

If we could get the above scene to play out EVERY time the Habs and Leafs come to town, I will be a happy camper. Best way to keep those troglodytes out of our building? Beat them so badly that they don't even want to buy tickets in the first place to watch their team lose.

NyQuil 02-01-2013 09:43 AM

Last year's playoff crowd was one of the loudest I've heard in SBP.

A lot of younger folks who cheered all game long.

Senacus Maximus 02-01-2013 09:50 AM

I can't stand when Canadiens fans sing that freakin song in our building. It's fine when they do it after going up 1 - 0 in the first period in their own building but it has no place ever being in our building.

Hearing that mocking chant at the end was music to my ears. I had a good laugh when the Flyers fans did that during the playoffs.

Hopefully this is the first step to permanently removing Habs/Leafs fans from our building.

yeah, exactly. the first time was the mtl fans chanting which set it up perfectly for the ending we gave them.

SelleckStache 02-01-2013 09:56 AM

To make it really sarcastic, next time add "Habs suck!" during the pause at the end.

StikTBo 02-01-2013 10:39 AM

Are there still leafs suck chants going on during non leafs game? I seem to hear it a few times each game.

Indy on the Road 02-01-2013 10:42 AM

Most underrated fanbase and it's not even close, in my honest original manly opinion.

Ohhh Franco 02-01-2013 10:51 AM

Over the last 12 months or so, it really feels like this fan base has turned the corner. The consistency from Melnyk, the Murray's, Maclean and the leadership group, coupled with the youthful energy and talent of the new kids...and hosting a major NHL event/weekend like the All Star game, has really given this city a jolt!

Maybe all this fan base needed was a bit of time...

KEEP IT GOIN!!!!

FolignoQuantumLeap 02-01-2013 10:57 AM

I appreciate you appreciating the appeiciation.

Appriception.

Marvelous Manked 02-01-2013 11:10 AM

I think part of the reason of the "turn of the corner" is that fans that were born in 1991-1995 that have grown up with a team in the area are now adults (or about to be adults). People like myself that grew up living and breathing Sens (as a 10-11-12-13-etc) year old are now in University.

PRETTY SOON SENS FANS WILL BE BREEDING MORE SENS FANS LIKE NEVER BEFORE.

Im 30, so I was 10 years old when they dropped the puck on night one vs Montreal. Lots of my friends are having kids and posting photos online of their newborns/toddlers dolled up in Sens gear. THE BREEDING HAS BEGUN!!!!!!!!!!

Slow Hands 02-01-2013 11:17 AM

Fully plan on making a few sens fans once I'm a bit older
