JFK line

jvr-kadri-frattin. 1st line. future leafs line, i think kadri can handle more min.

kulimen- grabo-kessel, 2nd line, less pressure, not playing vs top defence.

macclement-bozak-komorov. checking line, bozak should start to become a top line checking center.

Leaf Rocket 01-31-2013 09:30 PM

Patience is a virtue, Kadri's doing well and what not but we gotta let him get his feet wet. No matter the performance people has to earn their stripes.

kamosko 01-31-2013 09:31 PM

You really think they can handle other teams best lines and top defensemen?

I mean they're playing great but not exactly against the toughest assignments

Agreed. Can slowly ease them out of the sheltered minutes maybe, but I don't trust them against the tough matchups all night yet.

Coach is a line matcher, he gives them their best chance to succeed.

Tonight they were around 14 minutes each which is perfect right now.

McClement line goes against the other team's best players, and if they play them even it's a win.

Jerkini 01-31-2013 09:37 PM

People are always so eager to switch the lines when things are going well. It's mind boggling.

Also I would say Frattin and Kadri are excelling the way the are because they're getting very sheltered minutes. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Let them ease into it. Carylyle is doing it right.

theneuf33 01-31-2013 09:37 PM

we have won 2 games in a row Kessel and JVR looked good together tonight would be silly IMO to break them up and play with the lines too much

also grabo line is shutdown line putting kessel there doesnt make sense

MakeTheIronSing 01-31-2013 09:39 PM

something tells me lupul is gonna come out skating when he gets back into game mode

could be good

lupul bozak kessel
jvr kadri frattin
mac grabo kulemin

that's not too bad 3 lines

HappyGilmourr 01-31-2013 09:41 PM

Kadri is no Giroux - he never will be but they play so similar. The hands Nazem has is truly a treat to watch

ULF_55 01-31-2013 09:41 PM

Grabovski line was a +1
Kadri 0
Kessel 0

Man i'm really wondering if Frattin is THIS good. Is he just hot or is he truly going to develop into 30 goal guy? Same with JVR... Can he make the leap to a 60 + point player? I no Flyer fans said he does this for 7-8 games than he disappears. Will Kadri keep this up? SO much potential man.

kadri is a plus player, leading the team in scoring.

I said that a lot in the offseason.

Lupul and Kessel played great together last season, one of the best duos in the league. We hadn't yet seen JVR + Kessel play together though, it could be even better.

Now we have seen it, and so far I like it. Kessel still goal-less though, so a line change up may still be coming. Bozak likely the one to get moved though, not sure who would replace him though.

Frattin has the team's best PPG and is +2. Best +/- for forwards

jealous the leafs are starting to become a good team, now that they are playing kadri.

see avitar:sarcasm:

He finally got his chance with Wilson out of the picture and he's taken full advantage. He earned it... He's a Toronto Maple Leaf. He will NEVER get sent down again. When he struggles (and he will) coaching staff have to realize it happens and this is gifted player worthy of a roster spot.

RealisticLeaf55 01-31-2013 09:50 PM

Kind of excites me to know that Kadri could become a very strong playmaker in the future.

kessel is done, he is playing so hard to score a goal, once he scores, he plays soft again

Why spoil a good thing? Frattin and Kadri are thriving right where they are.

How do you think Kadri would look next to Chara on Sat?
