So, Therrien decided to take out the triple low five to stay humble after a victory. It's was funny but I think it's a good decision with the new philosophy of the club.

Would Therrien have murdered Yakupov after his celebration? Who cares, it's their thing and a sort of tradition.

He did it with Price, and the fans loved it. It was a very small act that in no way denigrated the opponents, and it made the home crowd happy.

Part of what makes Subban great is how electrifying he is emotionally and with his personality.

Good, they can triple low five after they win the Cup. It was pretty ridiculous seeing them do it last season when wins meant possibly getting up to 14th in the East.

That said, if MT thinks this type of discipline will lead to more wins I'll happily accept it.

Hockey isn't supposed to be entertaining. Glad Therrien intends to keep things formal.

They should lower ticket prices for every fan friendly thing they take out of the game. Only seems fair. :nod:

It's a team game and as we saw since the beginning of the season, the whole team salute the fans after the game. Don't get my wrong, I love Subban. But in a whole team concept, these kind of celebration have no place. Entertaining for sure, but needed...?

Who remembers Price bodychecking Subban in the OT win against Chicago?! :laugh:

My first reaction was to call it a dumb move but then I saw it as Therrien trying to help Subban; an attempt to help him keep his focus on his game and take a little (media) pressure off his shoulders.

Reporter: So PK what do you think about this decision regarding the triple low five?
Subban: I am not the coach. I am here to help this team win. Team... blablabla... team.
Reporter: So coach, why are you doing this?
Therrien: Pas l’temps d’niaiser avec ça! Next question.

=> No more talks about the triple low five.

Again, I think Therrien will be a good coach for Subban.

Michel Therrien just hates fun. I would prefer if PK did his celebrations on the opposing team's center ice like T.O.

Wonder how much that decision has to do with listening to his buddies from l'Anti-Chambre.

Not really a big fan of quelling anyone's personality, P.K.'s or otherwise, but I guess if this is in line with the team's new philosophy, so be it. Time will tell if it pays off.
