Zetterberg scores hat trick and two assists
At least he still has offense! 5 point night and a hat trick. He had a point on every goal Detroit scored.

ricky0034 02-01-2013 10:11 PM

Zetterberg hat trick,5 point night
figured a 5 point night should have a thread

12 on the season now

Pay Carl 02-01-2013 10:12 PM

that was a sick EN goal... determination

silkyjohnson50 02-01-2013 10:14 PM

Playoff Zetterberg showed up tonight.

RedLeader 02-01-2013 10:15 PM

Looked like he was bleeding on the side of his head after the empty net goal, though it might have been just his hair, i had a crappy feed. Anyway great way to come back after being sick!

GetThePuckOut 02-01-2013 10:15 PM

One of the best EN's I've seen in a long time.

HTT3* 02-01-2013 10:18 PM

That's what a true captain should be.

VladTheImpaler 02-01-2013 10:20 PM

As others have said, sheer determination on the EN goal after Hank was tackled by Oshie. He also outmuscled Perron coming in late.

Guru Meditation 02-01-2013 10:21 PM

But seriously, Zetterberg is really impressing as captain. He's leading by example and at times just carrying the team.

Phu 02-01-2013 10:21 PM

heck of a game against a heck of an opponent. anyone notice that they weren't going to call the heinous interference on him on that EN?

His Beardliness 02-01-2013 10:24 PM

When Gretzky says you're the best, you're the best. ;)

Phion Keneuf 02-01-2013 10:25 PM

Who does he think he is? Vanek? ;)

The Nose 02-01-2013 10:27 PM

Today marked his "arrival" as the new captain of Detroit. You could tell he wasn't going to let the team lose tonight.

And that EN goal summed up his night.

Sky04 02-01-2013 10:40 PM

naw guys, he's no kopitar.

zeropotentate 02-01-2013 10:42 PM

So does this mean that being the captain of the Detroit Red Wings give the play a plus 100 to domination skill?

HTT3* 02-01-2013 10:42 PM

Zetterberg single handedly won this game on his own. Well, a little help from Datsyuk, but Zetterberg was unstoppable.

As for the penalties, Blues got some phantom opportunities. Refs were brutal for both sides, but it all evens out in the end.

Blues had a glorious phantom PP with 2:17 left in the 3rd to give them a 6 on 4 opportunity. Then Zetterberg decided he was going to score a short handed goal. So he did.

Stop derailing the thread.

That's a captain right there. BEAST MODE

obey86 02-01-2013 11:39 PM

Zetterberg absolutely sucks. He only put up 5 points because the refs screwed up and gave him the points.

This. It was a huge conspiracy by the league to help out Detroit.

Great game by Z. Terrible to watch as a Blues fan, but it was a terrific job by him.

Awesome empty net goal too, felt bad for Oshie though.

Bruv 02-02-2013 12:57 AM

It was a great game for him

One of the goal was an empty netter sooooo..

underslept 02-02-2013 12:58 AM

Zetterburg earned the C on his chest tonight, no doubt about that.
