NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

I thought it was a terrible game. It’s not a lot of action five-on-five. Special teams were key.
We talked about it the other night. A lot of times that will be the difference, they won with special teams.
- Henrik Lundqvist

He tomahawked me right on top of the helmet, he dazed me. I don’t know how that’s not called or something.
I understand we’re battling in front of the net but he’s falling down like he’s chopping wood across my head.
- Marc Staal

We need to be stronger mentally. Everything starts there.
We are not at that level consistently enough and that’s something that needs to improve before anything else improves on the ice, the approach has to change as far as how hard you have to play.
- John Tortorella

Let's go Rangers! In section 124 for this one.

Hold the Lightning down to four goals I'll be happy...

Well, they just put up 8, so... if we play the six-goalie system... :sarcasm:

Kershaw 02-01-2013 09:51 PM

4-3 Rangers.

The Gloaming 02-01-2013 09:52 PM

5.29 Goals per game??!! What in the actual **** is that? Oh boy. The Rangers better bring their defense tomorrow, or else it's gonna be a long night. Offense needs to wake the hell up, because that defense sure doesn't look impressive.

EDIT: Oh god. Their backup is in. We are ****ed.

Florida Ranger 02-01-2013 09:54 PM

Lundqvist is a must start.

Putting Biron in is throwing in the towel.

HatTrick Swayze 02-01-2013 09:57 PM

Gonna be an uphill battle.

MUST stay out of the box.

This. How many times did we get a penalty in the first five minutes?

Giacomin 02-01-2013 10:03 PM

A good time to get the power play going!

Machinehead 02-01-2013 10:15 PM

This one is gonna get ugly.

Killem Dafoe 02-01-2013 10:15 PM

Oh man, this should be interesting. They average what? A little over 5 goals a game? Super dupes...

lgr...

I Eat Crow 02-01-2013 10:19 PM

Garon is playing? Automatic loss for the Rangers.

For old times sake, I'll predict a 6-1 OTL.

Lorb 02-01-2013 10:24 PM

8-0 NYR. I don't even care if I'm kidding or not  meh.

charlie460 02-01-2013 10:24 PM

Will be at the game. Hope it's not a blowout. Sorry, my confidence is showing again. :sarcasm:

I think only this week against the Flyers we managed to stay out of the box for the first 5 minutes and immediately we play a game where we were never in danger of losing. We need discipline to get momentum and start building

What do you mean? The Rangers will totally be able to blow out the Bolts. :sarcasm:

dmjt4160 02-01-2013 10:51 PM

Theres no logical reason to expect a win here. Therefore I'm thinking we take it 4-1 or so

wolfgaze 02-01-2013 10:54 PM

Could get ugly. : /

Rangerboy030 02-01-2013 10:56 PM

Gotta get at least a point out of this one.

And for God's sake, STAY OUT OF THE BOX. If we get into penalty trouble against this PP, we'll be annihilated.

Giacomin 02-01-2013 10:58 PM

The Rangers should get 2 points. They are better than Tampa!

Lorb 02-01-2013 11:02 PM

3 PPG for NYR.

Yeah, not a whole lot of basis for that statement right now...

Machinehead 02-01-2013 11:12 PM

Look at their 2nd line and look at ours and we wonder why we can't score :shakehead

Kershaw 02-01-2013 11:13 PM

I'm loling at Tampa's goal differential. Crazy.
