Hard nosed, stay-at-home defenceman to Calgary

One element (amongst many) the Flames clearly seem to be missing is some jam - both up front and on D. We have some pretty good PMD in our line-up (Bouwmeester, Giordano, Brodie, Wideman) but no net clearing presence. Case-in-point, last night! Marian Hossa was allowed to walk in unmolested on Miikka Kiprusoff to tie the game with less than 3 seconds left.

Doesn't have to be a top-4 guy. Even a bottom pairing (#5/6) guy will do.

With all due respect; 1 Dman isn't going to help the Flames.

They need a complete overhauling.

Wrong thread.

I'm sure you could pry Klesla out of Phoenix for a good price. With Schlemko playing out of his mind and making less than Klesla, its not too bad of an idea to part ways with Rusty, as much as I love him.

Name your price, I'll send RT over here to do the negotiations. lol

Weren't the Flames sitting Sarich last night?

smackdaddy 02-03-2013 03:47 PM

You mean like Regehr?

tsujimoto74 02-03-2013 05:44 PM

Regehr? :sarcasm:

Don't wanna trade him, but if we did what would you give for Deryk Engelland? He can play D, fight, destroy players, aswell as play the game. He had 17 points (4 goals) last year for Pens and is a defensive Dman. He can play top 4 and can play there pretty good, but is mostly a bottom pairing Dman.

Stempniak is our best trading piece.

I'd love to have Regehr back in Calgary. I'm not sure why we traded him. :dunno:

He can barely skate anymore?

5150 02-03-2013 09:45 PM

Regehr and sarich are too slow

Sarich is a 6/7 guy at this point

Klesla would be great

Whats the asking price?

Brody 02-03-2013 09:47 PM

How about Shane O'Brien?

Modo 02-03-2013 10:05 PM

You can have Robidas for cheap.

Real cheap, probably.
