Games and Puzzles thread - Devils trivia and beyond

Who Am I?

1. I've played for 7 NHL teams.
2. My career high in both goals and assists came with New Jersey.
3. I'm a Stanley Cup Champion.
4. I've played in two Conference finals, never winning.
5. I won the cup with the team I was drafted by.
6. I won this prestigious award, that another Devils player drafted in the same draft as me won as well.

These are getting difficult.

.

I mean you are getting trickier and more obscure hints while getting less info as well. Bound to happen otherwise it'd be boring.

Don't 3 and 4 contradict themselves? Or was this player injured the year his team won the cup (never actually "playing" in the conference finals)?

EDIT: Or, if it's Morrison, he was traded mid-season, but played enough games to get his name on the cup?

Devils Trap 02-05-2013 01:10 PM

I would definetely make a thread about this. Always entertaining

Morrison's career highs came with Vancouver.

Cowbell232 02-05-2013 01:16 PM

Not Morrison I don't think.

Scott Pellerin?

The award was the give away to me - we draft/acquire too many Baker award winners. If I'm right that is...

Pellerin's highs came with St. Louis and Minnesota though. Unless we're counting AHL stats. Which would be like a false phrasing of the question.

Richer's Ghost 02-05-2013 01:20 PM

We'll create a thread after this one - or he can.

First thought was Mottau/Morrison because of the draft years. But Pellerin fits with 7 teams too but not the NHL stats, but does with the 89 draft of David Emma too.

Richer's Ghost 02-05-2013 01:23 PM

Good gravy it's Tom Kurvers.

Won the cup with Montreal before coming to NJ and posting his career highs.

Yeah I thought he was with Chicago when they won the cup but ends up he wasn't. Geez Lou loves his Hobey Baker boys. So many to look at.

Let's put the fun over here and leave news to news.

I still don't understand...how can you play in two conference finals, never win, but be a Stanley Cup Champ? Unless they were conference finals from another league?

In college?

Feed Me A Stray Cat 02-05-2013 01:37 PM

I want to play:

Who Am I?

1. I've played for 6 NHL teams.
2. My career high in goals came with the Minnesota Wild.
3. I played for the Devils during one of their cup-winning seasons.
4. I was a high draft pick.
5. I have been out of the NHL for several seasons.
6. During the Devils' cup winning season, there was a teammate who was taken at the same draft slot as me, but two years earlier.

Richer's Ghost 02-05-2013 01:39 PM

Rolston. Kidding. Doesn't fit 1 and 5.

Or you are a coach on a SC winner, or you get a ring even after being traded, or you don't actually play in the Conference Finals you win but do play in the SCF (Eric Cole is one example)

Devils Trap 02-05-2013 01:42 PM

Ill do one of these
Im not sure how good I am , soo this may be pretty easy

1. Played for 6 NHL Teams in His Career
2. Currently still plays in the NHL
3. Played in the Olympics for a nation with very few players in the NHL
4. Taken in the Same Draft as a very Close friend of his.
5. His Career High in points in a single game came against the Rangers
