I'm a huge Trouba fan. So that's what sold me :)

Jesus I can't believe it but looking at first glance it looks like I might do it as a Jets fan based on Yakupov alone. Whitney's not great but he'd fit in well as a partner for Bogosian I think. Ladd would be missed but we're talking about a #1 overall pick.

Jets get hosed.

Not a chance I do it. However...I do see it's merit. If Trouba wasn't involved I would be grudgingly do it, because I'm a huge Ladd fan.

I do get what Yak projects to be, but Winnipeg is a Defense first team(not saying Yak isn't defensive) but players like Ladd and Trouba fit the Jets mold better.

I'm pretty sure , Whitney's near negative value after today's game.

Winnipeg is not trading their captain and most recent Dmen, who has a ton of potential.

Ladd is not going anywhere without a huge huge overpayment and this ain't it

why are people making this kind of proposals where 10 or so players gets moved in one trade.

He doesn't. He is terrible. Peckham has little value; Eager has no value and the third round pick isn't much value.

As an Oil fan, I'd consider something like this.

The only way the Jets would get Yakupov if I'm Tambellini is if Evander Kane is coming the other way.

I'm not trying to berate you at all, but I tend to think every team in the league is defense first to a point. As much as losing Ladd and Trouba sucks we'd be getting a dynamic future first liner and a veteran but not washed up defenseman that actually fits decent style and position wise with Bogosian. Both of which are huge question marks for the Jets going forward.

We'd be weak at LW after Kane, but Yakupov/Wheeler/Little would be unreal on the right side.

Again, not trying to be "snooty" but to the Oil fan expecting no less than Kane back for Yak I understand. But Trouba is on track to be a phenomenal defenseman in this league so far. It's early, but he's not your average top prospect throw in to a trade.

Oilers say no. Quality>quantity, not to mention I don't think I could stand Andrew Ladd in an Oilers jersey.

I would do it as an EDM fan. Ladd is great, but getting Trouba is the trump card for me. The exact type of player we need to pair with J. Schultz.

Getting rid of Whitney is also a bonus.

It basically breaks down to Trouba + Ladd for Yakupov.

Value seems fair, but the Jets won't trade their captain.

I'd do it in a heartbeat.

First line with Kane and Yakupov in a couple years looks good to me !

I agree but if Trouba reaches his full potential we get hosed. Trouba alone would be enough in that case never mind adding a guy with back to back almost 30 goals season who just so happens to be our captain. If he becomes 1/2 or 3/4 the player he could be then yes I'd say good deal.

I'd say no as a Jets fan.

I'd rather have a solid well-rounded roster like some of the previous cup-winning teams then a few marquee players.

He did say if he reaches his full potential. Not sure how much you've read up on Trouba on the prospects board, but the way he's developing his ceiling is getting higher and higher. If you have already and disagree, I apologize.

Something tells me that "help" sign is just you looking at their draft spot and that one is in the NHL and one isn't though.
