fwiw Eklund says habs are e4 to get Ryan O`Reilly from Colorado.

Ivan13 02-07-2013 01:18 PM

What would it take to move Weber to Colorado?

LarsEller 02-07-2013 01:20 PM

Travis Moen + a 2nd round pick next draft for Jannik Hansen. Hansen is basically moen with speed and a bit more offensive upside. Good hitter/Forechecker too. Oh, and hes from Denmark:laugh:

3rd round pick or decent prospect...maybe 2nd depending on the market.

Nucks won't move Hansen.

Avs would probably want to move one of their d-man (O'Brien, O'Byrne, Zanon, Hunwick) if they were to trade for Weber.

Too bad. I like him alot. IMO he would be a pretty big upgrade to our 3rd line. Vancouver was pretty high in Moen in the offseason though

I don't see the Habs doing that, would be a waste of an asset. Plus Moen will drop the gloves and is a leader.

Would only make sense if the Habs can move Kaberle. O'brien won work as his contract is too long. Maybe O'byrne?

Well my reason for adding a pick is that Jannik Hansen is a better player IMO. Hes not a fighter, but he is gritty and an excellent Pk“er.

Since I'm both Avs and Habs fan I don't want anything to do with SOB, he's a disaster on the ice and O'Byrne's play really took a turn for the worse this season. He was a pretty good defensive presence for the past couple of seasons and now he just backs of and lets the other team set up shop in the o-zone, he's terrible with the puck on his stick, he can clear the puck out of his zone and he's a turnover machine. Honestly there isn't a single Avs d-men I would take on the Habs without the obvious exception of EJ and Hejda, but Colorado just has to move a d-man if they're trading for one.

Maybe, but no way a GM in his right mind trades Moen and a 2nd for Hansen. Maybe Milbury...

Boyle seems to be available in NY...

I know it's putting my hopes up but God I wish Eklund was right for once. He would be a great fit here

Weber is a 6-7 type of guy and we would be really lucky to get a 3rd back not even going to mention a 2nd cause I think it's ridiculous. Lovejoy last night a # 6-7 went for a 5th

Realistically guys..what do u think it would take to pry him out of there....offersheet just isnt realistic....we aint spending picks in this draft.

And how you will get him signed? He is asking for a longterm contract with a lot of money while the Habs, if they want to respect their structure, would offer a bridge contract.

Mike Milbury? He had his kick at that can and tripped badly,I believe he's still in outer space every time he speaks. He has never really been more than a poor defenceman for the Big Bad Bruins, but he fit in well with that brigade.:sarcasm:

For this reason, I don't see it happening. I would like to have him on our team but don't see the fit or reason to get him. I would actually prefer a Stastny for Eller type of trade and then we could also move DD in another trade.

Would it be worth bring back Streit from NY to reunite with MARKOV? They played well together in the past? If so what do you think it would take?

An overpayment

Would it be a worthwhile overpayment like Prust or more like Kaberle?

Streit doesn't fill a need here, we have 8 d-men and 5 offensive ones. If we trade for a d-man it will be a big crease cleaner type.
