No one is playing better than the Blackhawks right now.

After they won the cup, 2010, and lost some depth players to other teams, I think they were able to back fill the lot with some quality-cheap players rather well and look very dominant right now. Kudos to Stan Bowman for making the smart calls and retooling this team so quickly.

deytookerjaabs 02-07-2013 02:55 PM

Not true at all. We have a great team but they've had some luck so far and have definitely not put forth 100% effort every night the past few games.

Jynx thread

coldsteelonice84 02-07-2013 03:02 PM

deytookerjaabs already has an anti jinx on the Hawks going so we are covered

Theosis 02-07-2013 03:03 PM

The Rangers look unstoppable.

Oh wait.

That was just pure gold.

Seriously, I like the Rangers but they gutted their depth for Rick Nash and the best thing anyone does on that team is block shots.

It's hard trying to keep up with all the optimism around here.

driller1 02-07-2013 03:06 PM

"Hitman" Torres may have something to say about that tonight.

Kurtosis 02-07-2013 03:09 PM

Ugh. Total jynx thread.

The thing that impresses me the most is that they have played 8 road games already, most in the NHL and still have the best record in the NHL. Only 2 home games so far and 8 road games, but have yet to lose in regulation or in OT(only the shootout).

Getting all these points while playing road games really bodes well for their future and getting a top 4 seed since they still have a bunch of home games. Just pray we don't see a losing streak like we did last year. That is another thing that makes the start so impressive is that usually we suck on the West coast trips and it ruins our seed but this year it will actually help us. Playing away games in LA, Calgary, Phoenix, San Jose, Vancouver, ect usually meant bad losing streak but we've managed a point in every game.

Phu 02-07-2013 03:32 PM

Wasn't that impressed with the Hawks, but the Ducks are playing really well. The Blues were until the past few games.

Second time today I get to use this:

Throw some more bad juju at the Hawks!

Mafoofoo 02-07-2013 03:43 PM

The Hawks are clearly the best team in the league by far. Especially since they've managed to do so well while playing a large majority of their games away. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't lose a game in regulation.

You're really bitter about that loss, eh?

That OP was clearly referring to the Rangers on his Xbox.

Gutted their depth?

Dubinsky + Anisimov

Nash

We upgraded Dubinsky to Nash. Parted ways with AA.

That's not exactly 'gutting'.

GuineaPig 02-07-2013 03:51 PM

The Hawks aren't even out-shooting the opposition. They're riding on unsustainable percentages, and no one should confuse that for being truly dominant.

Nope. I'm just doing my due diligence in a jinx thread and helping the jinx no matter the team. Well unless it's SJ then I'm doing anti-jinx posts.

Do they play the Sharks soon? That's game I'd like to watch.

Me too, they have yet to play a game this season!

Being outshot probably won't last either, but yes, the pace they are on right now is obviously not sustainable.

What? What's the matter?

I keep looking at how well the Hawks n Sharks are doing, and I'm going, "Man, they haven't played eachother yet?" So it seems like a good matchup.

Toastman 02-07-2013 04:17 PM

Hossa is the most underrated player in the game
