Brian Burke Thread - March 2013

Sportsnet is reporting that Burke will be in the building tonight to watch the game on behalf of Hockey USA.

Thoughts? Or are there no thoughts?

Doshy 02-11-2013 05:14 PM

I better see him give a thumbs up after a win.

cup67 02-11-2013 05:15 PM

oh no! here comes a loss, hope we dont start to go over the cliff :)

LordRamsay 02-11-2013 05:15 PM

Will he be in the press box or sitting with the masses? That's the extent of my curiosity with this.

DirtyDion03 02-11-2013 05:18 PM

I'm sure there will be a lot of MLSE employees in the building tonight. Who cares??

Jerkini 02-11-2013 05:18 PM

Would be kind of funny if he was chilling with Nonis and the boys.

tml145 02-11-2013 05:19 PM

this can't be good

Win it for Burke! His fingerprints were all over that win on Saturday.. Let's have a repeat!

bunjay 02-11-2013 05:20 PM

Couldn't care less.

A new chapter has come. What's the over under on the Burke camera shots, starting at 4.5.

I'll go over.

He will likely be in a different box. Sportsnet reported that his role has yet to be finalized with the team.... Makes me think nothing will happen so as a result Burke has gone back to work for USA Hockey.

Sportsnet already has footage of him sitting in his box on his Blackberry.

Why's that?

Technically, he IS still employed by the team is he not?

Suntouchable13 02-11-2013 05:28 PM

This sort of pisses me off, tbh. Why show up? He is drawing attention from the game to himself again. Why?

The "why" is addressed in the first post...

You know he has another job right?

DirtyDion03 02-11-2013 05:44 PM

Do the Flyers even have anyone from America on their team?

There's Couts, but they're probably looking at Kessel, van Riemsdyk, Komisarek, etc.

Probably checking out the Kessel/JVR duo. Going into a tourney with line chemistry is always an advantage.
