The lineups are obviously wrong, but here is the gameday thread regardless! Go Jets! Time for bed.

CorgisPer60 02-12-2013 12:09 AM

The pictures are all screwy? But I'm not on my phone. Anyways, kick their ass, Jets.

Gnova 02-12-2013 12:09 AM

Yeah, same on my iPad. I'll fix it in the morning. :)

Kent C Tugood 02-12-2013 12:14 AM

Dang Sharp! I forgot about the Black Ice jerseys. I'm assuming Philly had a similar deal.

4-2 Jets.
Clitsome scores...
A seat in the Pressbox.

Jet 02-12-2013 12:15 AM

Sexy!! Who's that beast in the OP!

Hard to figure out what this team is going to do. All signs point to a Jets win so we will most likely lose. I'm going to stay positive, and hope the Jets solid defensive and systems play will continue. 4-1 Winnipeg with an EN goal... big Buff with a PPG and 2A

Go Jets Go!!!

I can always fix it for you now if you want. Literally took me ages to figure out how to make everything show up like it's supposed to the first time I made a GDT. Dang forums.

What I do is normally set up a template of 700px width by whatever length, create the GDT, then cut them up into 350x300 images. Everything usually fits like it should.

But DAMN that's some sexy work, great job it looks slick.

garret9 02-12-2013 12:26 AM

For us I used the lines from last game (but added Byfuglien), but for them I used from their PGT:

1st line -0.045 50.1 -05.5 -3.56 2.34
2nd line 0.110 47.5 11.6 7.21 5.94
3rd line 0.827 40.5 04.3 3.52 5.10
4th line -0.232 44.0 -09.1 -9.02 5.07
1st pair 0.700 45.1 04.5 2.25 0.91
2nd pair 0.478 45.2 -10.0 -5.87 0.90
3rd pair -0.822 46.1 -00.3 -0.34 2.00
*Too lazy, did not do their OnIceSh%, but it doesn't take a genious to notice that Giroux + Briere have been having some bad puck luck... but the rest of the team seems to be making up for that... too bad for them they don't get as much minutes
*there middle six looks pretty tough, although not every member is like that (some are holding others up)... Timonen is awesome, I don't know why they don't give him more icetime (age?)

LLW 1.089 51.9 -02.8 -03.22 5.68 8.72
KJA 0.295 54.9 00.8 -00.63 2.72 5.60
PBW 0.086 48.9 14.6 08.47 2.93 6.97
WST -0.860 37.1 -10.9 -10.93 2.04 3.76
En-Bu 1.389 46.4 -01.7 -4.60 2.70 5.76
Ha-Re 0.443 48.0 -08.8 -3.90 1.02 6.32
St-Po -0.116 52.3 10.7 6.77 1.63 6.84
LLW: The've been taking tough minutes and scoring pretty decently, but not out-chancing their opponents... but tough to do with missing 2/3 top3 D
KJA: Soooo close to beating their match-ups... but their scoring is pretty good even with Jokinen on the line who has been on a severe 5v5 scoring rut (lowest OnIceSh% and P/60 on the team other than Wright)... All 3 of these guys are underscoring for the scoring chances they're making... even Kane
PBW: Another line having a bit of bad luck offensively, but they are having no problem with possession. This line has #1, #2 and #3 in out-chancing their opponents.
WST: Wright's not doing too bad, although unlucky on the score sheet. Slater is used as a FO specialist, so that will always kill him. Thorburn...??? :dunno:
En-Bu: BYFUGLIEN!!!!!!! Enstrom misses you!!!! No offense to Hainsey... Hainsey is a decent #4 but he's a real ****ty #2. Enstrom was very positive possession-wise until Byfuglien hurt himself (rumour has it trying to cross Bee strains)
Ha-Re: Hainsey's stats should improve with Byfuglien's return and placed back in the proper role, and even more so when Bogosian returns (no offense Redmond). Redmond looks like he's due a bit of a statistical collapse, but let's hope we throw him to weak match-ups before then (ie: Bogosian returns)
St-Po: OMG Postma doesn't have to babysit a non-NHL regular... YAY. With Stu returned to facing lower opposition, and Postma free to roam, this should turn out how we want.

PHI Fenwick
Home: 51.76
Away: 51.89
Overall: 51.82 (7th in East)

WPG Fenwick
Home: 50.55
Away: 51.61
Overall: 51.08 (8th in East)

Lynk 02-12-2013 12:35 AM

Going with a Vintage Lynk prediction for tonight. This gem comes way back from the December 31st, 2011 game against the Toronto Maple Leafs:

So without further adieu.......

Jets win 6-1.
Ron Hainsey scores 6 goals, then flies to NYC to grab the ball before it drops and brings it BACK TO WINNIPEG spiking it through the earth at midnight.

Then in the interest of tradition, he takes Ryan Seacrest's line and yells "HAINSEY OUT!"

Much of the post may not have much relevance in tonight's game as it is not New Years, nor will there be a ball dropping at midnight. I just enjoyed the aggression I had coursing through my veins when I posted it.

Wpgpage 02-12-2013 12:55 AM

How long has line Corsi and team Fenwick splits been a thing???? This is awesome I need to come into these treads more often.

4-5 games as an off-handed guess...
something I do in-between classes

Gump Hasek 02-12-2013 01:37 AM

Just win, baby.

turn this up loud

Reed Solomon 02-12-2013 01:55 AM

I think we'll win.

God I hope Bryz is in net.

porkerhunter 02-12-2013 01:59 AM

Awesome GDT Benny!

This will be a great game for the Jets. I am pretty optimistic we'll get 2 points today after watching some of the PHI TOR match tonight.

4-1 for the good guys. Goals from Buff, Wheels, Antro and Wright.

Go Jets Go!

PS, my first thought when reading the thread title:

garret9 02-12-2013 02:15 AM

I'm going to say 3-2 Jets

Goals from Jokinen, Wellwood and Little
(ie the guys who are shooting bellow their normal sh%) :P

kurpitsa 02-12-2013 04:10 AM

jets win 4-2
Hainsey 4+1

This is the last game i see in almost three weeks.. I really hope Bogo is back when I am back:)

GJF 02-12-2013 04:35 AM

everybody has us winning this one, right?

Well, I won't be surprised if we lose it because of the big optimism :D

That version is terrible.

King Woodballs 02-12-2013 05:42 AM

Philly could be coming in here pissed after last nights embarassment.

Need to come out strong and dictate the pace.

GJF 02-12-2013 06:21 AM

Little wrong detail in your GDT:

The Jets are not 4-1-1 at home, they are 3-2-0 at home and on the road they are 2-3-1 and not 1-6-0

Agree, but I think they can be as pissed as they want: if the Jets play their own game, they'll be fine.

Great looking GDT Benny! :handclap:

One tiny suggestion: it looks like you output sections or slices of images - if (as Hammer mentions) you make them 350x300, the GDT's should work for everyone, including people that usually see the yellow "click here to expand this image". I should put this in the GDT thread - I had no idea how to do this hfboards-style before Hammer helped out either. It's easy to overlook.

Go :jets Go!

KingBogo 02-12-2013 06:40 AM

This a tough game to get a feel for. Philly should be so much better than what they are showing so far. We are at home and rested, they are playing a back to backer on the road and coming off another bad loss. We are getting Buff and maybe Bogo back. Everything points to the Jets. But....we have yet to show we can consistently win when we should.

GJF 02-12-2013 06:42 AM

the pictures are not placed correctly for me either. I'm using Chrome on a macbook white. It's probably not widescreen enough, right?

BrianFromAIH 02-12-2013 06:48 AM

Since it's against the Flyers, Jets win 27-26, Hainsey scores 26.
