Guess for a 7th it's worth giving him a shot for the jets.

KEEROLE Vatanen 02-13-2013 03:35 PM

So much for being the next great power forward

nitz 02-13-2013 03:35 PM

It's about what he's worth.

WhatASaveDave 02-13-2013 03:35 PM

what happened to this guy? Use to have so much value

Alchemy 02-13-2013 03:36 PM

Not that I'm trying to take a cheapshot at pens fans but man did you guys and gals overrate the hell out of Tangradi. Only a 7th rounder? Man what low value.

Captain Hook 02-13-2013 03:36 PM

He still has a chance to become a solid player but he needs to play regularly in the NHL and he hasn't had that chance in Pittsburgh.

MrFunnyWobbl 02-13-2013 03:36 PM

7th?

thats it?

8.5B on HF's immediately after trade from Ducks. lolol.

SmellOfVictory 02-13-2013 03:36 PM

This draft must really be deep. ;)

Laino 02-13-2013 03:37 PM

I thought for sure he was going to be traded with a 2nd round pick for [any scoring winger]

Mystlyfe 02-13-2013 03:37 PM

Overpayment by Winnipeg.

this is true, funny how his prospect rating skyrocketed after he was traded :sarcasm:

Figured we were gonna waive him and someone would pick him up, so cool. 7th is a long shot, but it's still a shot.

Didact 02-13-2013 03:38 PM

was once ranked as a blue chipper here. Thanks HF.

Pi 02-13-2013 03:38 PM

Caputi 2.0.

Shrimper 02-13-2013 03:38 PM

He has a lot of potential but has struggled to show it. Hope he does well.

uncleben85 02-13-2013 03:38 PM

Wow. The market is NOT what I expected.

Loki for a 5th?
Tangs for a 7th??? Ouch.

Between Peluso, Wright and now Tangradi looks like Winnipeg is attempting the salvage game.

joestevens29 02-13-2013 03:39 PM

Can't make it work in Pittsburgh with those two centers then maybe it's time to change your style.

Only had "so much value" once he left the Ducks. Got overrated quite quickly once traded to PIT. I hope he can find his niche on the Jets!

Crabby Williams 02-13-2013 03:39 PM

Sounds about right.

BigTuna49 02-13-2013 03:39 PM

It'll be interesting to see where the Jets slot him in at. Obviously they think he could be a low risk decent reward with this trade.

crazy Kassian 02-13-2013 03:40 PM

was he overhyped

You mean the same team that is desperately looking for an effective "3rd wheel" on a line with either Malkin/Neal or Crosby/Kunitz? The same team that just took a shot on a guy they picked up on waivers who couldn't crack a thin Canes line-up over the last couple of years?

PITT would have LOVED for Tangredi to develop, but he just didn't. To say he hasn't a chance over the last couple of years is just ludicrious. He's had a ton of opportunity, but he never showed he was capable of stepping up and being a positive contributor.

I'm not ripping on either Canes or Pens. Sometime (often times) prospects just can't adapt to the speed and size of the NHL. There's no shame in that, but I just don't agree with the thought that he didn't get a chance in PITT.
