Imagine if he had some good wingers to play with. :sarcasm:

Congrats to Sid. Incredible vision to be able to do what he does as far as passing goes.

400 in 448 games is pretty sick.

MastuhNinks 02-13-2013 08:36 PM

Is he the fastest (in terms of GP) in NHL history to this milestone? That doesn't seem right. I'm trying to figure out a way to figure out a way to work this out on Hockey-Reference and this is what I came up with, it lists Sid as the only one to do it in that number of games (obviously I had to ignore this game because it doesn't update in real-time)(.

Dangler99* 02-13-2013 08:38 PM

Gretzky and Lemieux def did it faster.

Gretzky had over 900 points and over 500 assists before 400 games.

You're limiting it to people who had played only 448 games in their entire career.

Congrats to Crosby.

Sportserie 02-13-2013 08:42 PM

He's outstanding, both on and off the ice.

Oh I assumed it would just cut the stats off at that amount of games played... I knew it couldn't be right though.

Anyone know of a way to figure this out?

Fairweather 02-13-2013 08:46 PM

I posted it above but let's just say that if it's a scoring record, there's a greater than 50% chance a certain particular player (HFBoards: "OVERRATED!") has it.

skroonk2002* 02-13-2013 08:49 PM

Crosby is the best player in the game.

Not quite Gretzky or Lemieux. But better than Forsberg, Sakic, Yzerman, etc.

If he stays healthy, he will go down as one of the top 10 best players in NHL history, and probably the 3rd best centre (behind 99 and 66).

This. What a role model and amazing player.Pure class off the ice.On the the ice he has a bit of a bad per, but that stuff is actually very innocent and noticed only because its Crosby.

Intentional Icing 02-13-2013 08:56 PM

I hate that man with every fiber of my being but damn he's good. Congratulations Sid, you piece of ****!

Charizard 02-13-2013 09:07 PM

Definitely impressive. Wow!

Still don't like him though.
