Toby Enstrom injury

Left after 2 shifts with a shoulder injury and did not return. Coach Noel says he is not day-to-day. Is it possible he broke his clavicle again? That cost him 20 games last season.

Brutal luck, just as soon as we get Bogo back, we lose Enstrom.

I thought collar bone when I saw it.

Me too. Or shoulder perhaps.

allan5oh 02-15-2013 09:59 PM

He was kind of falling over when he went down the tunnel. To his right.

I think it's his shoulder.

Shoulder = clavicle = collar bone. They're all part of the shoulder.

King Woodballs 02-15-2013 10:01 PM

On a soft hit none the less.

Guess he hit the boards funny

Jet 02-15-2013 10:02 PM

I'm hoping collarbone. Shoulders are tricky and can become a chronic problem, and for a guy of Toby's size it's hard to protect your shoulder.

MrGrinch 02-15-2013 10:03 PM

I Thought collarbone too... possible re-break?? Could be out for rest of the season if that is the case.

FTY - Collar bone is the exct same thing as the clavicle.

Uh, your shoulder is not the same as the clavicle. So you're shoulder is connected to your neck? That's weird. And to be serious, they are very different injuries i.e.: healing vs chronic, as in joint vs bone.

Read the first few lines...the clavicle/collar bone form part of the shoulder: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clavicle.

Seriously dude, take an anatomy class. They are not the same. Anyhow, I hope his injury isn't severe.

Snot Rocket 02-15-2013 10:15 PM

Dislocation or partial dislocation is perhaps another option for the injury.

This really sucks, any which way you slice it, it is bad. :(

Totally agree dude. Either of the two you mentioned would better than a laundry list of other injuries.

I think we have a doctor on the board. :handclap: Either that or someone taking proudly taking biology for the first time. :D

I just hope Toby is okay. As a fan of this franchise for more than a decade, I think he's our most important player. More than Kovy, more than Hossa, more the Heater. Hot forwards come and go, but solid, smart defensemen like Enstr om are hard to come by.

Guess you don't know how to read or look at a diagram. Both in the link I posted clearly show that the clavicle forms part of the shoulder.

Your denying the obvious is just making you look really, really bad.

untouchable21 02-15-2013 10:18 PM

The NHL loses two of Sweden's finest defensemen in a span of three days:shakehead

Enstrom while not as severe, is a HUGE loss for the JETS. This will spell a downward spiral for this team. It's not like they weren't on one already, but this will just magnify it.

KingBogo 02-15-2013 10:19 PM

So I'm assuming the Jets will be listing Enstrom with a day to day with an upper body injury? This will be tough for the Jets to overcome. I feel for Toby as he had really been carry a load with the Bogo and Buff injuries.

You can't read either? Check it out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clavicle. Clavicle forms part of the shoulder.

Miss the first post of this thread? Coach Noel said Toby is not day-to-day.

Jet 02-15-2013 10:22 PM

Cut it out guys. The clavicle IS the collarbone.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clavicle

It's not worth arguing about.

10-4 there. Sorry, didn't see this. Internet delay.

Jets 02-15-2013 10:39 PM

Well we got to see our full team for 1:07 this season so far...

For that 1:07 I was feeling brighter than the Russian sky. And then I started swearing. A lot.

I hear you. Watching Toby struggle off in so much discomfort, just when we had our big 3 back felt like a kick in the gut.
