Okposo

Place your bid.....

We have alot of young players coming up and okposo was reported being shoped by Snow.

At this point he is still young ndset a career high in goals last year with 24...

He is not very physical and he is not a 1st line RW like many prjected....

He is a #2-3 RW and on a playoff team could be a very solid piece...

I would like the B's to go for him but IDK what the Islanders would want

Hatrick Marleau 02-17-2013 12:57 PM

What would you want from SJ?

KingCanadain1976 02-17-2013 01:01 PM

well i know its not going to be accepted but ill start the bidding with penner or a 4th. I can see la interested but not going to over pay. Players that may also be traded straight up would be nolon ( ok kings fan wont like that ) umm maybe richardson.

Okposo is not going to get the Isles what they "need" by trading him alone. I would prefer him in a package for a player but IMO playoff teams would just rather add him alone..

The Isles have a deep prospect pool and would prefer roster players...

Mayby a player similar to Okposo in that just cant put it all together and may need a change...

There is always picks, I cant see the Isles trading him for a pick/picks

Imo hes a big body forward thats physical not scared to drop his gloves. I personally don't see the upside to him others do. Imo we need more offense from that 3rd line rw spot which ko would provide. Alot of people point to him and king as to the turnaround I personally think its more we got rid of hunter and moreau. I maybe off in regards to nolan play I will let other kings fan describe him to you ( calling tg here lol if u dont mind)

Okposo + Poulin for Bernier

Numbers 02-17-2013 01:16 PM

Islanders would be a pretty good team with better goaltending.

Okposo
Niņo

For

Luongo

no ty add a 2nd to it and id consider it Poulin really adds no value considering you would have Thomas nabakov depetrio and now bernier makes more sence if u added nabakov and a 2nd round pick but thats ur choice of goalie throw in. Need at least a 2nd to consider it.

IslesRock4 02-17-2013 01:23 PM

Isles are better off trading him before he goes the route of Blake Comeau. I think a deal with Okposo would be straight up for another struggling/project young player. I'm sure the Islanders would prefer to use him in a package but teams may not consider him a significant piece.

Predsrule 02-17-2013 01:25 PM

Blum? Not really sure what you guys are looking for..

Hatrick Marleau 02-17-2013 01:30 PM

Justin Braun then?

Sharppi 02-17-2013 01:40 PM

out of curiosity, how does clutterbuck only have 6 pims this year?

islandermaniac 02-17-2013 01:48 PM

in a trade that could be called, "one struggling player with warts for another" the isles and wild agree to a kyle okposo for a devin setoguchi swap.

MessierII 02-17-2013 01:50 PM

Something around Hemsky? You guys might have to add slightly.

Bi Coastal Bawse* 02-17-2013 01:52 PM

Andy Ference, Jordan Caron, 4th or 3rd

for

Kyle Okposos

there was a rumor not to long ago the Isles were talking to the Wild about Okposo...

Seems like a wierd swap Okposo for Setoguchi

The Saurus 02-17-2013 02:11 PM

A second round pick from the Leafs.

i would say that it would be very weird. i mean, they seem like the same guy!

Prairie Habs 02-17-2013 02:13 PM

I remember right before the season started and I said Okposo wasn't a clear upgrade over Bourque and I got absolutely ripped for saying the Habs shouldn't package Bourque + for Okposo.

Well after 14 games 5G 5A 10P for Bourque, 1G 3A 4P for Okposo.

Chardo 02-17-2013 02:19 PM

Sure. Isles traded away Luongo just as he entered his prime. Now they should trade two recent first rounders to reacquire him when he's past his prime? Yeah, that'll happen.

I'm sorry but I think you are confusing Luongo with someone else. Luongo is the best goalie in the NHL so far this year. 1.45 GAA and .943 sv% and averaging a sv% of .923 and a GAA of under 2.30 over the last 2 seasons and is still in his early-mid 30s.

Try again.
