How far do the Toronto Maple Leafs Go?

I'm betting they go to the finals

MastuhNinks 02-17-2013 05:13 PM

I think I'd speak for all Leafs fans in saying that we'd be ecstatic just to watch a playoff game in Toronto.

I'll go with 2nd round exit, after getting the monkey off our back and upsetting the Bruins :)

When is the last time you guys beat the Bruins?

serge2k 02-17-2013 05:27 PM

Stanley cup finals against the Canucks.

HF implodes.

Krnage 02-17-2013 05:28 PM

they wont make the playoff

bruinsfan46 02-17-2013 05:29 PM

If their goaltending holds up they'll finally get back into the playoffs and probably lose in the first round unless they get the six seed and get to play the winner of the Southeast who they would have a shot against. Goaltending doesn't hold up they're outside of the playoffs once again. Either are likely scenarios, voted first round exit just because. If I were betting I would still probably bet miss playoffs.

Like spring of 2011.

But if upsets never happened the Presidents Trophy would be called the Stanley Cup.

Vankiller Whale 02-17-2013 05:36 PM

1st round exit, but they got to OT in Game 7.

PeterForsberg 02-17-2013 05:38 PM

I don't think they'll make the playoffs

Oiled up* 02-17-2013 05:41 PM

Miss the playoffs.

Miss the playoffs.

At the most, round 1 exit. Goaltending is not ready.

MrFunnyWobbl 02-17-2013 05:47 PM

I can see the first round in a shortened season and them missing on a good pick and sucking again next year.

Pyrophorus 02-17-2013 05:48 PM

Carlyle's system is legit.

2nd round exit.

1rd 02-17-2013 05:53 PM

cup or bust

VinnyC 02-17-2013 05:56 PM

I like their chances of making the playoffs but I can't see them lasting long with their personnel. For some reason, I think they'd match very well against a team like the Rangers so if they got them as opponents they could go further. But I'm not putting money on it.

Smokey McCanucks 02-17-2013 06:00 PM

I think this is the season the Leafs go back to the playoffs. The shortened season will not leave them enough time to screw it up as usual.

I think when talking about higher seed teams the Penguins are probably the best matchup for the Leafs. I'm not sure why either, there's nothing in particular about the team but the Leafs just seem to play their best hockey against them.

Benny FTW 02-17-2013 07:08 PM

Miss the playoffs. Everything about that team is meh. The organization doesn't have a #1 C, #1 D, or a #1 goalie.

Ace Dreamer 02-17-2013 07:18 PM

1st round exit, but at least they make the playoffs

LEAFANFORLIFE23 02-17-2013 07:31 PM

some of you need to watch games and realize this team is no longer soft. Now that they have a good coach ghey are on the rise.

SNES 02-17-2013 07:34 PM

Why all the way of course :sarcasm: I heard they are planning the parade route as we speak

I think Reimer is really good but he is always hurt. But yeah I dont care for the makeup of the team either. Im not sure what the team's identity is or what their strength is.

vanwest 02-17-2013 07:37 PM

I'd say they are a marginal playoff team at best and a first round exit would be a good season. I've followed hockey too long to predict the Leafs as a sure thing to make the playoffs at the quarter pole of the season. :)

sharks9 02-17-2013 07:41 PM

The same place they've gone for the past 9 years.

you don't know what our identity is? it's pretty clear we are a tough physical team that works hard and NEVER turns a fight down
