Hossa

Required, right?

Please don't be a concussion

Hawkaholic 02-19-2013 09:59 PM

It is, Hossa wouldn't stay down like that otherwise. What else could it be?

theaub 02-19-2013 10:00 PM

I know it is but still :(

CS85 02-19-2013 10:02 PM

NHL is reviewing the hit.

Blackhawkswincup 02-19-2013 10:28 PM

God I hope Hossa is alright ,, This team needs him badly

Chris Hansen 02-19-2013 10:29 PM

I don't think it was intentional, but who cares anyway. Hansen's a plug, not like Vancouver will really miss him. Not that he deserves a suspension, he was just trying to glove the puck as far as I could tell.

But again, it barely matters. What's far more important is how Hossa's doing.

No Fun Shogun 02-19-2013 10:29 PM

Please be nothing please be nothing please be nothing please be nothing

Illinihockey 02-19-2013 10:31 PM

@JoshRimerHockey: Been told to expect that Jannik Hansen will have a hearing at some point for his head shot to Hossa! NHL looking at it now.

Illinihockey 02-19-2013 10:31 PM

Guessing he'll be out for at least a couple of weeks

Hansen is literally the heart that makes this team GO.
We would certainly miss him if there is any sort of consequence.

I don't see any apparent intention, and nobody can say otherwise, thus, no further discipline.

Good game, y'all. Sorry Hoss is injured. Hopefully nothing serious.

It's sickening. Another hope for the best but expect the worst kind of thing.

Ujjy 02-19-2013 10:34 PM

I'd honestly have preferred a lose over Hossa getting injured

UsernameWasTaken 02-19-2013 10:35 PM

I think it's safe to assume it's a concussion at this point.

How long he'll be out is another story.

It was a disgusting cheap shot...I'll be very upset if there isn't a suspension

BronYrAur 02-19-2013 10:36 PM

You don't try to catch a puck with your forearm or elbow......

Kurtosis 02-19-2013 10:37 PM

I really hope he isn't out for the season...

This.

It was without doubt intentional. C'mon people. You don't stick your elbow out like that when you're going up for a puck.

Cullksinikers 02-19-2013 10:38 PM

It could easily be whiplash. Sadly, he could have a concussion. Pray!

Maybe that's why they really haven't been going.

Not sure if Q got an update or not, but he was smiling and seemed chipper (more than normal) after the game. Hopefully Hoss was held out for precautionary reasons.

Hawkaholic 02-19-2013 10:39 PM

If hes trying to catch the puck why is his arm going towards Hossas head and not up towards the puck. He knew what he was doing and made it look unintentional.

There really isn't one. Keith thought he took a dirty elbow, got frustrated/angry, went after Sedin.

Hansen threw a dirty elbow mostly out of frustration for his team getting worked.

I thought the same thing

Illinihockey 02-19-2013 10:46 PM

Suspension hearings can't take place for 48 hours, hawks don't play until Friday. They won't tip off if Hossa is hurt or not

Illinihockey 02-19-2013 10:47 PM

Hossa didn't go to the hospital again, so that's good

Problem is I worry about lingering effects like we saw with Toews/Monty
