Oilers 2 Blues 4

Hopefully Hall isn't too badly hurt.

Johnny Bravo 03-01-2013 09:22 PM

Oilers Lose 4-2 SSDD

Sigh...

pSlayer* 03-01-2013 09:22 PM

We HAVE to make some trades happen... We get outclassed too often

JSC 03-01-2013 09:22 PM

That loss in on Dubnyk. Can't let in back breakers like those.

Johnny Bravo 03-01-2013 09:22 PM

You beat me! :(

nexttothemoon 03-01-2013 09:22 PM

Full credit to the Blues. They deserved the win. Just a much, much better team than the Oilers in every way.

GreatKeith 03-01-2013 09:22 PM

I can't remember a team fudging up so many odd man rushes. That's the second 3-on-1 this trip that they've blown because of stupid passing.

thadd 03-01-2013 09:22 PM

Garbage.

We played like garbage.

I'd honestly like to know what % of the time we actually hit the next when we shoot. Not including when the puck is deflected wide by another player's body or stick. Really, put the puck on the net. How freakin annoying is it to see everyone try to go top shelf every time and miss the net by several feet every time?

PUT THE PUCK ON THE NET!

CrazyJoeDavola 03-01-2013 09:23 PM

How bad was the Hall injury?? Anyone have a vid?

AK Dandyman 03-01-2013 09:23 PM

Awful goal allowed by Dubnyk. Smid went puck fishing again and got beaten easily one one one like a minor league defenseman. And that's the ball game.

Why is Smid and Petry just chase the puck stupidly and losing defensive positioning so much this year? Isn't this Steve Smith's department? He got all the credit last year for getting Smid & Petry played the way they did, shouldn't Smith be the one to answer some questions?

Bryanbryoil 03-01-2013 09:23 PM

Biggest positive tonight was the play of Whitney, if he can keep it up he will either be a valuable player here or a valuable trading chip.

Perfect_Drug 03-01-2013 09:23 PM

Team built from the net out, vs the Team built from the forward lines back.

Very predictable loss.

guymez 03-01-2013 09:24 PM

No surprise. The Oilers are tailor made for a team like the Blues.
If this was a playoff series the Oilers would be lucky to win a game.

Oh well...no one in their right mind expected anything other than a loss in this game.

.500 so far on the road trip...thats about as good as it gets for this team.

Hall had better be ok or this team is really in trouble.

Oiltankjob Fail 03-01-2013 09:24 PM

I think MPS should of been dressed tonight, both teams played last night his fresh legs would of helped imo.

How can you blame a loss on a goalie when your team gets 17 shots?

10 minutes into each period they were being outshot 8-1. Dubnyk let in a garbage goal for sure, but the loss is on the entire team.

I thought he was horrible defensively... please trade this guy already

flashyflash 03-01-2013 09:24 PM

This loss is on the entire team.

ONce again nobody hits the net. 2 minutes with the goalie pulled and a lot of passing.

Odd man rushes and nobody wants to shoot.

Dubynk sucked once again against st. louis.

Just plain horrible. They played for 2 minutes all game.

Yuk. I need a timmy's

lol what?

Joey Moss 03-01-2013 09:25 PM

Why do we always blow leads? I just don't understand this team.

Booya42 03-01-2013 09:25 PM

Unfortunate, but we're bound to lose some games. Hopefully they play better against the Wild on Sunday.

oilphan 03-01-2013 09:25 PM

Just paying Dubie like a starter does not make him one. The bigger problem is right now we have a strong second line (that happens to be our first) and that's it.

how are the blues built from the net out, they have nobodies in net, i wouldn't trade dubnyk for either of them (and i'm not a dubnyk fan)

Sloth Slothersons* 03-01-2013 09:25 PM

We need to string some wins together. More shots, more aggressiveness, more grit. Do whatever it takes. Throw a garbage can Kreuger, spank them, make a god damn trade Tambo. I WANT WINS!

He created a lot of offense too so let's give him credit there.

He was our best player sad to say.

He created the most and wasn't a liability on the back end.
