He's with Hidy and Howdy, the long-forgotten mascots of the 1988 Winter Olympics. Obscure mascot support group.

LPH 03-03-2013 02:07 AM

Ummmm... 4-1 Canucks

Edler
Daniel x2
Burrows

Don't like our bottom nine right now, and if Ballard isn't in our lineup next game I'm gonna flip. Sedin line is godly

PG Canuck 03-03-2013 02:10 AM

Apparently the Canucks won't get to Calgary until a few hours before gametime, give or take. Were suppose to leave tonight, but flight was turned away from Calgary. This is per Blake Price on Twitter. Just thought I'd mention this.

If Ballard doesn't play, you really have to wonder what the situation is. Ballard has been too good this season to just scratch because of a few turnovers.

I find this situation truly baffling. He was nowhere close to healthy scratch level of play, IMO. Hard to complain too much after a win like the one we just had, but nonetheless...if I were Ballard, I'd be choked. Seems like there's nothing he can do to really get into the coaches' good graces.

StringerBell 03-03-2013 02:15 AM

Raymond is getting multiple hat tricks tomorrow. I'd say 3, minimum.

Steve Bennett* 03-03-2013 02:19 AM

5-2 Canucks win again, D Sedin, H Sedin, Edler, Kassian and Schroeder with the goals. leeman and gilmour for the flames...

Reverend Mayhem 03-03-2013 02:35 AM

Must win

canuck4life16 03-03-2013 02:41 AM

Ballard has been one of our most consistent defensemen during these 20 games and yet AV finds the need to make him a healthy scratch - almost seems like sheer hatred at this point in time.

There are rumours going around that Ballard's sister was having a baby, but it makes AV look worse as he told the media the lineup he went with gives the Canucks a better chance to win. Essentially AV said Alberts is a better option at this point in time. :help:

Canucks mathematical formula:

Weak team + Weak Goalie + Easy Win = Loss

David71 03-03-2013 02:59 AM

will ballard play? that is the question. a.v/gillis should have a sitdown talk. gillis supplys the players even if they are making alot of money and is doing good. play them. not that ******** excuse "ice the best possible lineup

Vankiller Whale 03-03-2013 03:01 AM

I'd like to see Kassian get some decent icetime/linemates this game. He's been stuck with Weise and Lapierre for how long now? Put him with Raymond and Schroeder, imo.

Pretty much this.

Remember him?

valkynax 03-03-2013 03:08 AM

I sense an (un)expected loss at the hands of the Calgarians.

Who, by the way, was this close to giving up 1st and 3rd round picks to the Avalanchians on a silver platter with a pink love note for half a bag of (possibly used) pucks

TheBleedingEdge 03-03-2013 03:33 AM

Canucks should win, probably 4-2.
Raymond, Kassian, Edler, Burrows.

I too would like a lineup change for Kassian up to the 2nd. He needs more minutes and better linemates.

I wonder what is up with Ballard? Was he a healthy scratch?

Yes. Apparently Alberts gives us a better chance to win games, according to AV himself.

Hrmm I smell something fishy here, Ballard Tanev are a solid paring so why the change? I understand he is in the AV kennel but come on, I wonder if its a trade brewing.. Or its just the flu.

Barker was also these instead of Ballard meaning if Bieksa felt he couldn't go after the war out it would of Barker in instead of Ballard

He also said that he would have used Barker if he didn't think Bieksa was a go. That kind of throws the theory that Alberts was just dressed for his physicality against the Kings out the window - Barker is soft as butter, plus Ballard has no problem getting his nose dirty.

I'm just shaking my head at this time. If there's truly nothing he can do to stay out of the damn doghouse, then do him a favor and trade him.

Trade upcoming

Or maybe fire the coach? :handclap: So what happens if we trade Luongo before the trade deadline? AV doesn't like the players we get back and treats them like dirt as well/makes excuses and that the players don't know the system well enough? It is a pattern that continues whenever new players are brought on to this team. Get him out of here and get a coach that actually works with what he has.

I'm excited for this game. I hope the Sedins can continue their dangling. Man, all I do is whine about this team having no players that can dangle and then the Sedins and Burr pull off that magic last night. I hope they dangle like that more often and that it wasn't just some one time thing. I felt like I was watching Patrick Kane in a Canucks uniform. I noticed Henrik seemed to be playing last playoffs with a higher intensity than I have ever seen him play with and hopefully this is the intensity both of the Twins consistently bring in the postseason this year.

Nuckles 03-03-2013 09:58 AM

Let's keep on winning so we don't have to worry about Minnesota passing us.

BarneyStinson 03-03-2013 10:17 AM

Is Lu getting the start?
