A game I get to watch! First one in two weeks!

leafspensfan 03-03-2013 01:18 PM

lol, what's this defense that you speak of

Ugene Malkin 03-03-2013 01:26 PM

Great work, Fredrick.:yo:

Kunitz = 11-16=27 :handclap:

Captain Hook 03-03-2013 01:37 PM

I'm expecting more 80's hockey especially against a team like Tampa. So no defense, barely any goaltending and last shot probably wins.

Axman 03-03-2013 01:40 PM

Nice job on the GDT Fredrick!

Memo to Stamkos and Sid: there's no I in team. :sarcasm:
In all seriousness, it's been fun watching these two battle for the league lead in points.

If the D shows up, Fleury shuts the explosive Lightning down. LGP

Why does every damn Pens game have to be on National TV?

They're a popular team and Sidney Crosby is the best player in the game.

plaidchuck 03-03-2013 01:58 PM

If Montreal scored 6 goals I shudder to think what TB's big guns on a good day would do to the Pens with a similar defense

23 games into the season and I still haven't figured out the connection between professional hockey and folk music...

7 years posting here and I still haven't figured out the connection between professional hockey and costumed animals... ;)

Why does there need to be a connection?

IcedCapp 03-03-2013 02:19 PM

nice GDT :D

Stamkos scores 50.

In the first period.

we're now going around calling Okkervil River folk music? the unabated erosion of genre continues.

It was a rhetorical question but thank you

Because the NHL hates Steigy and wants to make him pay.

The erosion of genre happened...I don't even know what to call things anymore.

Wikipedia lists Okkervil River as indie rock, alt-country, and folk rock. The truth requires putting those three in a blender and hitting '4'.

true enough. genre is a lost cause in this day and age. i might add 'indie-folk' to the mix for another variation on a theme. sister-band Shearwater seems closer to 'indie-rock'. still 'folk-music' is by far the least appropriate of these options - i still think of the Harry Smith anthology when i hear that term.

Rugged men with beards.

Ogrezilla 03-03-2013 03:25 PM

as I do with most of Big's music, I would classify it as "mediocre" regardless of the genre

I'm sorry, maybe I'm just some uncultured meat-head, but that just sounds awful to me.

If the Penguins are soft, they need MUSCLE ROCK.
