Pacioretty recorded at least one point in all four of his games, tying for the League lead in goals (four) and points (seven). He began the week with one assist in a 2-1 shootout loss at the Ottawa Senators Feb. 25 and scored two goals in a 5-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs Feb. 27. Pacioretty then posted one goal and one assist against both the Pittsburgh Penguins March 2 and Boston Bruins March 3. The 24-year-old leads Montreal with 8-12—20 in 18 games this season. In 220 career NHL games, all with the Canadiens, the New Canaan, Conn., native and reigning Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy winner has 61-73—134.

CrAzYNiNe 03-04-2013 11:14 AM

Great to see him playing the way he wants to play.

WeberBombs 03-04-2013 11:15 AM

Good for him, he was beastly! :handclap:

MauditGreek* 03-04-2013 11:16 AM

Keeps getting better

Max Pac is everything you want in a hockey player. Good for him to be getting recognition.

Nicko999 03-04-2013 11:20 AM

:yo:

DenverHabsFan 03-04-2013 11:25 AM

There was nothing more satisfying than watching him go to the tough areas against the Bruins and play without fear. Wish we could clone him.

DekeLikeYouMeanIt 03-04-2013 11:31 AM

The best part is that Therrien is relying on him to be defensively responsible on his line. And he's filling the left wing lock spot perfectly. Just another dimension to an already good player.

Gary320 03-04-2013 11:32 AM

Honorable mention to Cam Ward. None of this would be possible if it wasn't for him.

Lafleurs Guy 03-04-2013 11:33 AM

Awesome. Thank you Craig Rivet.

Bask 03-04-2013 11:35 AM

hey, Rivet couldve won the 1st star in "dumping the puck for no reasons" EVERY WEEK :shakehead

shamrun 03-04-2013 11:36 AM

Not a chance, with the former Kelowna Rockets captain.

Who is that? Because we certainly don't have a former Rockets captain on our roster.

Josh Gorges was the only Kelonwna Rocket defender on our team, but I'm quite sure he never was captain! :shakehead

I know... People keep photoshopping pictures like this, I don't get it... Why are they so obsessed in making him a captain?

Habs Junkie 03-04-2013 12:03 PM

Wolverine is become a superstar!!! Good for you Max!

And I do think he has all the right tools to be captain of this team!

Bronn 03-04-2013 12:03 PM

Yep. It took a fluke goal to open the floodgates but now it'd a freaking deluge

Peace 03-04-2013 12:04 PM

Hockey must be the only sport where analysts call players beasts when they're playing good. I dunno I dont like that one bit. Sorry if I offend you :P
