Blues Shakeup

Who's going and who's coming back?

It's obvious with the way the team has played recently that something needs to change. At this point I think the only players who will not be moved are Pietrangelo, Shattenkirk, and Tarasenko.

Army has been in Philly and Toronto a lot recently. With this loss tonight maybe it makes Armstrong pull the trigger on a proposal in talks with either team.

Chris Stewart/Alex Steen to the Rangers?

What would it take?

Still bad trade partners. Don't really have any interest in your forwards and MDZ is not the defender that we need.

ducks would possibly be interested in mcdonald as a rental, depending on where the blues are at

I also don't see Steen or Stewart has players that would be likely traded. Sure they could be had but I don't see them as players that will be traded for the "shakeup".

I could see one of Perron, Oshie, Backes, or Berglund going as part of the shakeup though.

Depending on his health and the Blues position I could see him being sent out as a rental, but I wouldn't expect anything significant coming back if he was.

Well, then I'd say the Rangers would have huge interest in Berglund.

They had interest in picking Berglund at the 06 draft, but Sanguinetti 'fell' to them, and they picked him instead.

Lots of Leaf interest there.

I wouldn't be surprised to see McDonald traded.. if he was healthy

Stepan is out of the question. Wasn't available in the Nash trade, wouldn't be available in a trade for Berglund. Stepan has been our 2nd best forward over the past few games, and started to turn it on about 5 games in. He's starting to produce and he's got very good chemistry with Nash.

I'd probably mull over MDZ for Berglund/Serviceable dman. Otherwise, it wouldn't work.

I'd trade Steen because I think he is overachieving right now.. when he was healthy.

I wouldn't trade Stewart though

Joey Moss 03-06-2013 01:01 AM

Hemsky for Stewart

WarriorOfGandhi 03-06-2013 01:01 AM

Perron is going nowhere.

bleedblue1223 03-06-2013 01:02 AM

Backes isn't being moved. Sure we probably need to make a move, but not that type of move yet.

JurassicTunga 03-06-2013 01:02 AM

Berglund to Calgary

please

Then we are just horrible trade partners because we'd need a center in return for Berglund.

PALE PWNR 03-06-2013 01:03 AM

Philly doesn't make a deal unless its absurdly minor or for one of Shatty or Pietrangelo so if both are off the board no need to discuss

couturefan39 03-06-2013 01:03 AM

What about Douglas Murray, Galiardi, and a pick for Steen?

The Blues get a physical, shut down top 4 LHD and more grit on the 3rd/4th line with Galiardi and the Sharks get a good goal scorer in return

YOUR FEARLESS LEADER 03-06-2013 01:04 AM

Berglund has dropped off a lot but he still leads the team and goals. He's still very young and has a lot of potential.. would be reluctant to trade him
