Three new faces in next game's lineup

http://www.tennessean.com/article/20...-juggle-lineup Per Glennon. Add Boychuk, Butler, Bartley
Subtract Spaling, Halischuk, Yip.

I like this. Obviously I'd rather see Legwand or Fisher take a seat for one game, but I'll take the changes as are with no complaints. All I want is effort to find solutions. This is our first attempt with almost zero risk.

Soundgarden 03-06-2013 06:49 PM

I hate seeing Spaling out instead of Fisher or Legwand.

NoNecksCurse 03-06-2013 10:19 PM

spaling shouldn't be sitting. just another case of babying the veterans.

And this is one of the reasons I can't stand Trotz. Let the young guys pay for the veterans mistakes/lack of production. Let's see, our PK is struggling but Spaling is one of the best out there yet he's going to sit? Smooth move.

adsfan 03-06-2013 11:52 PM

I hope the new guys score one goal each. I think Trotz should sit out one veteran, just to set an example and send a message.

kypredsfan 03-07-2013 12:32 AM

First thing I also thought was Spaling shouldn't be sitting. Ridiculous. Glad to see some new blood though.

Predatorbill 03-07-2013 01:16 AM

I can't tell how excited I am to go to the next two games. I supposed to have hope because we brought somebody up and picked up to rejects off the waiver wire.

Better than nothing. Supposedly Butler was playing better than Henrique and we all saw what Henrique did during the playoffs last year for the Devils. We'll see.

Cashville 03-07-2013 08:29 AM

Fine with everything but Spaling sitting. Hell, move him to wing and sit SK74. Spaling's play through the first half has been stellar on both sides of the ice.

PFL615 03-07-2013 09:28 AM

I would definitely sit SK before i would take the top guys offense woes out on the lower line guys. Spaling has not been exactly getting it done either imo.. I have a feeling it won't be long before Clune and Yip are both getting scratched and replaced with the two newest guys.

Looks like it. Unless Blum rides the bench. Gill is the only injury I think.

No, it'll be 12 & 6. From the practice yesterday both Jim Diamond and John Glennon said that it looked like Spaling, Halischuk, and Blum would sit on Friday with Gill and Yip on IR.

Butler really seems intriguing to me because he seems to be a transition player much like Sullivan. He could work here.

AintLifeGrand 03-07-2013 12:04 PM

I'd like to see a PP unit with

Weber, Erat, Butler, Boychuk and Wilson

We have two players that will put themselves in front of the net. And nobody wants to see Gaustad on the PP so we might as well get used to the premiter passing and shots to continue. Or put Horni out there every minute of PP time we get.

From what I read, it sounds like Boychuk may give us that. I forget which report I was reading but one of them said that during practice yesterday, Boychuk and Hornqvist were almost getting in each other's way in front of the net (They were on the same line)

weeze 03-07-2013 02:16 PM

SK should sit a game or two. Just doesn't seem to play with heart, won't shoot. I don't care if he is our only sniper, it doesn't matter if you are a sniper if you hardly ever shoot. PON!

Yeah I'm kind of excited to see what Butler can do, I immediately thought of Sullivan when we picked him up for some reason. Hopefully he sticks.

Bourque has shown he has a knack for it. Outside of Hornqvist, Bourque would be my choice. I don't know why he isn't a lock for the 2nd pp unit when Hornqvist isn't out there

Halischuk is going to Milwaukee.

Predatorbill 03-07-2013 08:13 PM

Somebody has to shoot and somebody else needs to be in front of the net to put in rebounds.

This of course after the first minute where the puck needs to be picked back up on the other end of the ice after a horrible pass or a defender clears it .

FaceOfTheFranchise 03-07-2013 11:10 PM

Just get Fisher off the powerplay...you're supposed to have an advantage 5 on 4 and he provides no advantage what so ever. I'd like to give Butler and Boychuk a shot on the man advantage.
