Game 22: Kings vs. Stars - 3/7/13 - Can't Win Them All
 

We outplayed them for the most part, but the bounces just didn't go our way... Onto the next game.

Well, if I had my way they'd never lose. Moving along to the next one.

You can tell they were trying.. it just wasn't good enough tonight.

I still want Ellerby to work out. I like what he can bring. But, he needs to calm down his play a bit.

Hope Doughty is OK! Kings need some rest...it's only going to get worse.

12 goals against in our last 4 games. That can't happen.

I'm not blaming Quick for the goals because he wasn't getting much help, but he just doesn't look good out there. He's flopping around way too much and getting caught out of position too easily.

I know Morrow's was a back door goal, but he didn't even try to slid over to that side of the net. He just stayed on the post from the side the pass came from. I mean, what the hell?

Well, that was crappy. Onto the next game. Hopefully they have their collective heads together and don't run around like headless chickens in their own zone like they did tonight.

Defense has got to get it together at some point.

besides lehtonen stars didnt even have a good game, they just capitalized on the kings mental lapses.

We could of easily won but the puck hates us. I think we need King or Stoll out though.

He looks really lost at times. Especially when the puck is behind net, he's just not reading it at all. It's not his fault I agree but he's not coming up big like he used to.

Quick isn't going to get any better if you keep sitting him. He needs to get in the groove. That's the way he will start to feel better.

Three of the Kings' defensemen looked really bad tonight. That's expected from a guy like Ellerby, but not guys like Scuderi and Martinez. They have to be better than they were tonight.

Agreed. Martinez was brutal. Most of his passes were to no one. Terrible mistake on the momentum-changing Eakins goal. Sutter already wasn't happy with him after last game. I can't see him liking his game any more tonight.

Were 3-1 btw, so its not as glaring as you put it

Awww poo!!! The Stars got into our zone a little bit too easily for my liking. We gave up two or three outnumbered attacks tonight but that's two or three more than we usually give up. Also Quick is flopping and overplaying too many shots! Maybe that back problem last year calmed down his play so he didn't over react to shots. Something to think about.
