Kobasew to Boston

What would the Avs want from Boston for Chuckie?

Av-merican 03-08-2013 10:38 AM

Bergeron.

In all seriousness, a pick. Avs can use the system to fill out that 4th line spot. I can't imagine getting anything better than a 3rd rounder.

RobinDIF 03-08-2013 10:39 AM

Chara and a 1st.

To be honest, he would probably available for just a draft pick. 4th rounder or something.

Anything. ;)

henchman24 03-08-2013 10:41 AM

I'd say a conditional 3rd. If Boston makes the Eastern Conference Finals, it is a 3rd. Otherwise it is a 4th.

benzino 03-08-2013 10:41 AM

He is a free agent soon so a 4th round pick will probably do the trick.

The Kingslayer 03-08-2013 11:02 AM

You guys already had him. 3rd or 4th I be fine with either or. Hard to believe he was so highly touted at one time. Guys got good wheels and a decent checker but yikes almost no finish.

The Flames seem to love using their 1st rounder on grinders. It's like an annual tradition for them.

Helton4Hall 03-08-2013 11:11 AM

I'd say a third. Maybe if your nice throw in a seventh or something

I think he's more valuable than a 4th.

Rather have a 3rd or a 3rd line prospect.

Eh...we have plenty of those.

And on an expiring contract, a 4th line guy is not worth more than a 4th, no matter how good he might be on the PK.

bohlmeister 03-08-2013 11:29 AM

I think Kobasew would be a great depth pick up for a deadline deal.

3rd rd pick IMO.

Don't worry it would be a 3rd. I expect Boston to go all in on this season and pick up some key rental pieces. IMO Boston is going to be the team to beat in the East when it is all said and done.

Actually you are right, so yeah I would rather get 3rd. Also I think Kobasew is worth a 3rd .

Av-merican 03-08-2013 11:39 AM

I suppose if Mike flippin' Brown is worth a conditional third, then so is Chuck Kobasew.

As Henchman said, Boston wouldn't mind overpaying for grinders when they have a serious cup contending team.minalso agree with Hench as Boston is the team to beat in the East.

a draft pick, probably 6th or 7th.

tucker3434 03-08-2013 12:06 PM

3rd would be nice, 4th would be acceptable.

:shakehead

He's worth around a 3rd round pick from a contender, or a prospect with bottom 6 potential.

Ceremony 03-08-2013 12:15 PM

3rd or 4th, probably. Or like a 10 year younger version of him.

dahrougem2 03-08-2013 12:18 PM

I'd want Tyler Seguin and Milan Lucic, who both agree to restructure their contracts to 10 year deals with an AAV of 2 million per season, along with your 1st round picks from 2013 and 2014 in exchange for Chuck Kobasew. Yes, he's that good

Or you could give us a 7th, I don't really care what Kobasew gets lol I'd rather have Malone come up and shift Olver to the wing

GeoffL19 03-08-2013 01:06 PM

Kobasew would be a great fit in Boston this time around. Good bottom-6 guy, works hard, fore and back checks, hits, can play the PK.

Definitely a 3rd rounder in exchange for his services. It would be at the deadline where prices get higher than usual, so it wouldn't be unrealistic to pay for him with a pick that will be in the upper 80's, even with an expiring contract. They'd be able to re-sign him for cheap.

BrickAHL 03-08-2013 01:10 PM

A 3rd and maybe a 6th or 7th as well.

R S 03-08-2013 01:18 PM

A question is hardly a proposal.

brandon048 03-08-2013 02:07 PM

Anything, could never stand Kobasew. But really, probably a third or fourth, maybe a young bottom six player/prospect
