Well obviously Florida but that won't happen  so I picked Leafs. I know they've had our number in two games so far but young goalies in their first NHL Playoffs might be a good team to face, especially a team that will have the pressure of the world to win in playoffs considering how long its been since they've been there.

Johnny Budwick 03-11-2013 06:28 AM

Philly.

It'd be nice to finally crush the team who gave us so much fits in the playoffs.

Payback time, boys!

Davebo* 03-11-2013 06:36 AM

I. Want. Them!

err - boston...

MoobMoob 03-11-2013 06:57 AM

Going with the Rags. Seems the best matchup this year. Save the Bs for the ECF.

Don't want the Leafs or Flyers to make the POs at all.

I`d love to play the Jets in the first round. An all Canadian series with a team that would be in their first playoffs since moving to Winnipeg would be amazing.

I was thinking Rangers too but I'd also be nervous for them to start clicking, very similar style to us but a lot more talent up front

99GoHabsGo99 03-11-2013 07:19 AM

:naughty:I want either Boston/Toronto as i think they would be easy wins

Madevilz 03-11-2013 07:25 AM

Toronto. Canada would go crazy over this match up.

BobbyFischer* 03-11-2013 07:28 AM

Not the leafs or bruins... not in round 1.. please. In round 2, OK, but not round 1.

Someone easier to play against... like... anyone else.

Philly would be good.

They have crappy goaltending, shoddy defense, and as people have said, it would be payback for dismantling us a few yrs ago in the eastern SC finals.

ThaDevilGirl 03-11-2013 07:29 AM

How about not Boston?

Boston would bend us over and make us their ******.

Boston wins 4-0, all by shutouts, and Chara single-handily injures every single player on our team (including putting Gallagher in a coma).

PricePkPatch* 03-11-2013 07:37 AM

I so don't wanna play against Florida. It would mean they went on a Chicago-like winning streak and may upset in the playoffs.

I'd wanna play Philly or Pittsburgh.

Habs 4 Life 03-11-2013 07:44 AM

Finish 6th and play the winner of the Southeast

Frank Drebin 03-11-2013 07:45 AM

I'd rather wait and play Boston, Toronto, or Pittsburgh in round 2 or later.

bib 03-11-2013 07:46 AM

Anybody.

kassian 03-11-2013 07:46 AM

Toronto.

Bye bye downtown if Mtl wins.

in b4 ez becomes LA Kings 2012

Habcentric 03-11-2013 07:46 AM

I would say Philly. The defense on that team has just been atrocious this year, we would eat them for breakfast!

Their defense and goalies were just as pathetic the last 2 times we played them and they destroyed us!

They aren't the same team this time around, and neither are we.

According to Sports Club Stats, as of today the (weighed) odds of facing these opponents are :

Toronto : 28.3%
Ottawa : 21.7%
Boston : 2.4%
NYR : 15.6%
New Jersey : 8%

Pretty interesting... I would love to get Toronto, just for the sake of witnessing the chaos... That rivalry needs a reboot.

and then watch Quebec separates within 2 years? :naughty:

Darth Joker 03-11-2013 08:32 AM

Philly.

I have little doubt we could nastily exploit their defense and goaltending. Meanwhile, Price won't collapse like Fleury did last year, and that'll be a big difference that favors us. And yeah, I still remember how the Flyers halted our playoff success a couple times in the last several years. It would be nice to get revenge on them.

2nd choice is Rangers, but I think they have some chance of bouncing back and causing noise in the playoffs.

I hope to see a Montreal/Boston or Montreal/Toronto match-up at some point in the playoffs, but I'd honestly prefer an easier first round for the guys.

habtastic 03-11-2013 08:33 AM

I picked WSH. I think it's our best shot at an easy first round. Also, let some of the better teams take each other out. Of course would like to play the leafs, but maybe rd2 or 3. I don't think my heart would be able to take it though. Beat them and life is bliss, lose and I might have to call a hotline.
