Good news. Long overdue. Good luck to him.

Kinda sucks for him on the timing.

The guy he had good chemistry in camp with comes back.... and he's the one sent back for it.

A few weeks too late, but glad they finally made the right decision.

He's not good enough for the NHL right now, so he has to prove he's too good for the QMJHL.

Sigh. I'd rather play him up here and let him learn than send him back to a league he's too good for.

I think claiming that he's too good for the Q is a bit much.

I would have liked to see him play at least one game with Leino and Ott, but don't think that would change the fact that he doesn't work hard enough along the boards right now and can't win a puck battle.

What's tough is that he won't likely learn this in the Q, he needs to go to the AHL but can't until he is 20 which is just really ******.

He's in a tough situation right now, hope he has a beast playoff series.

He was elite offensively down there but not too good.

Better late than never in admitting your mistake. This is the right move for his development.

Agreed. It's not like he was dominating.

He's not too good for that league, FFS. He's certainly not too good for the league on the defensive side of the puck. He can still do better offensively.

I'm fairly meh about this.

Here's hoping he turns it on down there and puts his nose to the grindstone. He'll be better for it next year, and he'll get playoff experience, which he absolutely would not be getting here.

Crosby at 18 was too good for the Q. Grigorenko can still grow plenty there. Right move...little late.

Getting top line minutes down in the Q in the playoffs will be much better for him than getting sheltered minutes on the 4th line up here. I really thought they were never going to make this move and admit their mistake, glad it happened.

I wanted him up here when the move was made but one of the sticking points for me was he would have a consistent line and be allowed to create chemistry with someone. It looked like Leino was going to possibly be that guy, he gets hurt hours before opening night and now Grigorenko gets sent down to make room for that same guy.
