With this impressive post, I am please to present ManyIdeas with the 2013 Efficiency Award!

Almost the fewest number of allowed characters by HF for a post. Yet, a very effective delivery and a strong message.

Time to bust the Duck's bubble. Steen provided a big lift in his first game back and I expect that line to get another couple of points tonight. Team looks like it is coming together in front of Allen.

Fluff Master 03-16-2013 09:49 AM

 awesome award for an epic GDT! I'd like to see the first line continue their dominating play. As long as we maintain playing as a cohesive team I think we will win this one tonight. I'm assuming Allen is starting tonight with the shut out win against lolyotes...right?

Beast-Mode Blues commenced.

MattyMo35 03-16-2013 10:38 AM

Hopefully the addition of Tarasenko will help energize our PP.

Let's go Blues!

EDIT: Lines according to JR:

Steen-Backes-Stewart
Perron-Berglund-D'Agostini
Schwartz-Sobotka-Tarasenko
Porter-Nichol-Cracknell

I personally would swap Tarasenko and D'Ags, but there's a reason Hitch has a Cup ring and I'm merely an observer.

Stang 03-16-2013 11:23 AM

The return of Frank, yay!

Red08 03-16-2013 11:51 AM

Maybe I'm missing something, but I have not been impressed with D'Agostini at all. It's not that I've seen him make any huge mistakes, it's just that every time he's on the ice he just floats and doesn't work hard.

mizzoublues29 03-16-2013 11:59 AM

Yay for Frank

SneakerPimp82 03-16-2013 12:26 PM

Any word on who's starting in goal?

Twisted Blue 03-16-2013 12:27 PM

What has D'ags done to deserve 2nd line consideration? Must be trying to pump up his stats for a trade.

That's literally what my daughter cheers when I take her to hockey games or watch on TV together.

"GO HOCKEY!"

HANDZ 57 03-16-2013 12:31 PM

Gotta stay out of the box tonight. We gave them way too many chances last game and their pp finally burned us. I thought we played them pretty darn well 5-5. Oh and no shorty's for them as well please.

Robb_K 03-16-2013 12:31 PM

Allen had better get the start (per Hitch's "shutout rule" (and also common sense)).

I dedicate this song to this thread.

"This groove train's got commuters til the break of dawn!"

Let's Go Blues!!! :bb:

bluesman11 03-16-2013 01:04 PM

I've been impressed with their strong 5 on 5 play, tonight is a very good test for this team and I think it's coming at the perfect time.

Also very happy to see Tarasenko play with the team when they're putting it all together, itíll be interesting to see if heíll be aggressive in all zones.

CarvinSigX 03-16-2013 01:10 PM

The Frank and Beans line is making it's debut? Blues win 5-3.

PocketNines 03-16-2013 01:13 PM

lol I was at the Blues-Sharks game in San Jose sitting on the glass back in 1995 and right before the puck dropped I'll never forget hearing a Shark fan yell, "Go hockey!!" and thinking of how that guy would have been taken out and murdered in Philly or Montreal.

sh724 03-16-2013 01:19 PM

Dags should not be on the second line, move him to the 4th and rotate every one up a line. He is far from deserving a 2nd line spot, he hasnt shown anything to warrant playing there.

I love this story. I'd like to imagine he was wearing this shirt as well:

Hitch no longer goes by the shutout rule, it's the wins.
Either way Allen will be starting

The way things have gone this year, shutouts should earn you 5 starts in a row

I'd rather have Cracknell on the 2nd line than Dags
