Clowe to Boston

I like the idea of Clowe on the Bruins, what would the Sharks want from Boston?

JayP812 03-17-2013 04:51 PM

I'd take a 1st and maybe a mid to low level prospect since Boston's pick will be so low.

AJ SF4L 03-17-2013 04:51 PM

According to the rumors, the price is a 1st and a prospect. I'd be happy with either the 1st + another pick or a good, young forward prospect.

hawkeyguru93 03-17-2013 04:54 PM

1st and Khoklachev or Spooner

Bieber fever 03-17-2013 04:55 PM

Caron

YoungSinatra 03-17-2013 05:01 PM

Speedy winger/Speedy winger prospect pleasee

jmeehan1985 03-18-2013 04:46 PM

Your not getting either Koko or Spooner. Caron and pick at best

Hatrick Marleau 03-18-2013 04:59 PM

1st and Caron

PJ A Oates 03-18-2013 05:07 PM

If Boston can get Clowe and do not need to send a (good) roster player I will be estatic!

Should be able to, we'll be looking for futures for the most part.

BROOKLYnKNIGHTS 03-18-2013 07:10 PM

How about just do Spooner and Koko for CLOWE

If thats the price I would sooner pass than give that up for Clowe.

That would be awesome, a 2nd seems more fair

wej20 03-18-2013 07:29 PM

how often does a forward with 0 goals get moved for a 1st?

That could possibly fetch you Iginla... I'd say a 2nd, 3rd and Caron or Sauve

JoeIsAStud 03-18-2013 07:35 PM

I don't see Clowe as a guy who is a difference make between the Bruins winning and not winning the cup. He might be a decent guy to play, but he doesn't really change the Bruins offense.

I might be willing to give up a 2nd and a stalled prospect, but even that doesn't thrill me

eskimo7737 03-18-2013 08:40 PM

Clowe has degressed the past 2 years, he ain't worthy of a 1st, maybe 2 years ago... If the Bruins are giving up a 1st, at least let be for someone who has actually scored a goal this season...

SEALBound 03-18-2013 08:45 PM

Wow, I really wanted Clowe on the Penguins...but for a 1st + a prospect? Yeah right. 0 goals, $3.625mil cap hit, UFA at the end of the season?

You people are dreaming. You'll be lucky to get anything more than a 3rd and a B-level prospect.

I'll take your first (2013) and a conditional 2nd for him. The condition being that he re-signs with you.

Clowe has been a turnover-machine this year and last.

Oh for sure. Oh wait, it's the NHL where overpayments happen often.

Paul Gaustad got a first last year...

Right because every year is the same. And every player has equal value. And that is the one trade out of hundreds that is used as the benchmark... :shakehead

Don't kid yourself, this happens every year. The previous year Versteeg got a 1st and 3rd, Fisher a 1st and conditional pick. Yes not the same scenario, but lucky to get a third a B level prospect!? Get real.

Every year someone overpays for a player. I wouldn't be surprised to see a GM take the risk on Clowe, especially a team looking for something to bolster their forward group. Clowe has a skillset not shared by many others, so a 1st at minimum isn't unfeasible to think of. Then you look at previous deals and that's why I can understand why GMDW is asking for a 1st + prospect.
