NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

It’s gut check time pretty much.
We’ve got to figure out what’s going on and play with some serious desperation or we’re going to fall in the standings.
- Dan Girardi

It’s obvious when you’re winning, you don’t overthink, you play your game and it’s lot easier to make good decisions.
When you’re more relaxed and obviously it helps if you get better starts.
- Henrik Lundqvist

I don’t think we’re a team, when you don’t score, you’re confidence goes down, you don’t win, it goes down.
We’ve got to work through it and just find our way here. We just need to stay together as a team and try to work through it.
- John Tortorella

Heads Up: The GDT is work in progress.

I Eat Crow 03-18-2013 02:12 AM

At work again for this one...starting to get into do or die territory

5 4 Fighting 03-18-2013 02:13 AM

Hopefully we get a win here. With Biron in net we have to play a full 60 of inspired hockey. Score 1 more than them. LGR

Glennsoe 03-18-2013 02:27 AM

I miss the feeling of winning....

Let's get a positive streak going.....again....

SoftEuro4thLiner 03-18-2013 02:45 AM

Lgr!

Cresto 03-18-2013 02:50 AM

EuroFlair 03-18-2013 03:27 AM

Huge game. Just win.

FromTheSide 03-18-2013 03:41 AM

Ok, We clearly need a gurantee way to win this game. Who wants to give me their tickets for the game? :sarcasm:

ak10r 03-18-2013 04:07 AM

It’s darkest before dawn…… Here comes the Sun.

I too believe!

FultonReed 03-18-2013 04:15 AM

Net Front Presence 03-18-2013 04:23 AM

Losing here means big problems.

Bob Richards 03-18-2013 04:28 AM

Gut check time.

5 4 Fighting 03-18-2013 04:38 AM

Up this late? Or up this early? These are the questions.....

Also, I just realized that I said the same exact thing as Girardi.

It's a trick question. Bob does not sleep.

Ail 03-18-2013 05:24 AM

Never read a quote like that from Torts before. :sarcasm:

Rangers Fail 03-18-2013 05:55 AM

A backup???!! :scared: :scared:

For the love of all high and mighty, can we start scoring some damn goals?

He's flailing in self preservation mode . Notably kinder and gentler to media , he's feeling the heat no question . Can someone get Brad Richards a heart transplant .

Dorado* 03-18-2013 06:13 AM

Here's an idea : let's abandon the defense first practices and go in tonight saying we are going to outchance and outscore the opponent . Pinch , hang do whatever it takes to create some odd man rushes . So what if we give up 4 let's try and score 5 . The whole win 2-1 , 3-1 thing was last year this group hasn't won any of those type of games .

Megustaelhockey 03-18-2013 06:14 AM

To boo the team or not boo the team at the start of this one?

Ail 03-18-2013 06:14 AM

I remember when game days were exciting. Man that was cool. Made me less miserable at work. Now I'd rather go to work for three hours instead of watch the New York Beerleagues. At least I get paid at work to be frustrated and annoyed.

Go get 'em ya big pile o' suck!

More importantly it is boring.

Entertainment should be entertaining.

Cresto 03-18-2013 06:20 AM

Tort's famous secret castrate and frustrate the forwards recipe does not taste well. I don't mind if we make changes and lose. I do mind status quo and an ignorant belief that everything is alright and this style of hockey will continue to be successful for us.

Thunderhead 03-18-2013 06:21 AM

Win the next 2, period. LGR!
