PHX Needs Scoring

Hanzal,Vermette, Boedker, OEL, Z Michalek all off the table.

Coyotes have been shut out in 3 straight.

What's available, realistically.

Replace Vermette with Hanzal in that list from my POV.

Dragon Priest 03-19-2013 12:14 AM

As far as I know he has been struggling to score this year, but Drew Stafford is capable of scoring 20 plus goals and should be available.

bleedblue1223 03-19-2013 12:16 AM

D'Agostini+ for Klesla

RaabHart 03-19-2013 12:22 AM

Hemsky+Picks/prospects for Yandle, been saying all year this would be good deal for both teams.

No idea how I forgot to place him in the list.

Hemsky and Ryan Jones for Yandle and stone?

TheHudlinator 03-19-2013 12:41 AM

Something around Cammalleri for Yandle?

sjshark91 03-19-2013 12:42 AM

San Jose

Pavelski, Havlat, Clowe (Maybe he'll find the O in Phx).

What cha got?

Bernier the Boats 03-19-2013 12:44 AM

Grabovski, MacArthur, Kulemin, Bozak available.

Would adore Rundblad.

Tender Rip 03-19-2013 01:00 AM

Terrible to say it, but Phoenix needs to lose and sell. There is just not enough there offensively to build on. Nice complimentary assets in Boedker, Doan, Vrbata, Hanzal, but they need that scoring/playmaking center to move forward with.

They also need to look at their strong D-pipeline and say OEL is their nr.1 guy and they have capable complimentary players such as Michalek and Morris, which means that they should trust their prospects to fill the other spots going forward.... and trade Yandle for a good return.

Unfortunately Philly is the perfect trade partner (really don't want them to get Yandle). Brayden Schenn ++

Benedict Kovalchuk 03-19-2013 01:25 AM

Work something around trading Yandle to the Avs for Stastny or O'Reilly. They badly need D, Coyotes badly need a center with some offensive capabilities.

They need scoring, not your spare parts/garbage

Those four have a pathetic 23 goals in 113 games combined, meaning only one of them scores every 5 games.

Grabovski has multiple 50 point seasons, Kulemin has scored 30 goals before and MacArthur has eclipsed the 20 goal mark twice.

Grabovski's 6 goals this year (an obvious down year) would tie for 2nd in goals on Phoenix, and MacArthur's 7 would put him only behind Doan.

Okay last season they had 68 goals in 290 games. That's only one of them scoring every 4-5 games

...no matter how you put it or sugarcoat it, none of them are good. The only one that can be considered good by some is overpaid (Grabovski).

The year before MacArthur, Kulemin and Grabovski combined for 80 goals in 245 games. A goal every 3 games.

I want Yandle. Anything doing for a Pominville/Ennis deal?

A1LeafNation 03-19-2013 01:50 AM

MacArthur for a 2nd.

King William 03-19-2013 01:53 AM

Clarke MacArthur for Derek Morris and a 3rd.

No thanks. Yandle is not the answer to a blue line that doesn't know how to play defense.

Cosmonaut 03-19-2013 03:12 AM

Fleischmann may be available now that Versteeg and Weiss are out.

Rabid Ranger 03-19-2013 07:44 AM

Yandle's value is always more in 'real life' than as portrayed on these boards (where he's a pariah of sorts). He'd fetch a very good return if traded.

Mystifo 03-19-2013 08:22 AM

MacArthur maybe? Been a solid second line player the past two years and could be had for a good price.

I heard Havlat, Gaborik and maybe Richards are available. The NYI will trade Boyes for a propsect and a pick.

O'Reilly can't be traded as he was signed to an offer sheet and his team matched.
