NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

We’re going to be ready, the games are always tight. It’s never high scoring games against Jersey.
We’ll play our game, be patient and take care of what we need to do defensively, and try to create offensively.
- Marian Gaborik

I had a few chances tonight that I’d like to go in and I’ve had a few as of late. I’ve been snakebitten here but it is what it is.
We got the two points and hopefully it gets a little confidence in the room and we can put a few more pucks in the net.
- Michael Del Zotto

We weren’t happy with the way we played in the first but we kept on going.
I thought our forechecking really picked up as the game progressed.
- John Tortorella

Placid 03-19-2013 04:22 AM

Lets go for two wins in a row shall we ? :)

DMPD 03-19-2013 04:33 AM

Please score more than one goal. This team is so boring right now.

RangersFan 03-19-2013 04:38 AM

Dactyl 03-19-2013 05:30 AM

Thunderhead 03-19-2013 06:30 AM

4-1 Rangers.

nyr2k2 03-19-2013 06:34 AM

4-1 Debbies. We still can't score.

bubba5 03-19-2013 06:40 AM

Big game again. They need to play even better then yesterday. Yesterday was ok but not great.

Dorado* 03-19-2013 06:40 AM

Back up in net
Oh boy
Lgr

RangerBoy 03-19-2013 06:43 AM

The Rangers are headed for another road defeat tonight. Jersey will score some goals off soft Rangers defensive zone coverage. The Rangers played well in Newark when that building first opened. Its been a struggle the last few seasons.

bmoak 03-19-2013 06:44 AM

They should just give the Vezina collectively to all the backup goalies that suit up against the Rangers.

GWOW 03-19-2013 06:45 AM

Devils havent given up over 27 shots in 13 straight games. Teams just cant generate much offense against them, and Hedberg has played much better of late.

If this team doesnt produce a 60-minute wire-to-wire effort, and they end up losing in the process, I think it might be time to make a significant change.

Tonight is essentially a must-win playoff game.

Bob Richards 03-19-2013 06:53 AM

For the love of God. Just win.

TCRF 03-19-2013 07:08 AM

Backup and nj gonna be a rough one

Krampus 03-19-2013 07:12 AM

This Devils team is -9, and has so many OT/SO loses

Florida Panthers of last year. Let's put them in their right place, the draft lottery.
Preferably for 2 years, so that they sacrifice a top-pick

Lerb 03-19-2013 07:14 AM

I am now going to annoy people by being mindlessly positive. Win or lose, just make it a strong game. Even though we don't have many games left, we're not that far removed from playoff spots so long as we get our game together and make a push playing NYR hockey, whatever it may be.

M Gaz 03-19-2013 07:20 AM

1-0 Rangers

As far as predicting a Rangers win, you're being fairly realistic seeing as how we're going to have to keep it to 0-1 GA to win

That's some big talk there Nils.

Henke with a shutout? Nah, not happening this season. Never ever again. Lundqvist will always get scored on 1 time minimum from this point until the end of his career. He's just not an elite goalie anymore, hardly top 10 in the league. Anderson is the new elite goalie in this league, along with Bobrovsky and Prince Chad.

Bob Richards 03-19-2013 07:30 AM

If there was ever a time for Hank to go God Mode.....

Nac Mac Feegle 03-19-2013 07:39 AM

I have a good feeling - going to say a strong 3-1 win for the Rangers.

Carlos Ranger 03-19-2013 07:47 AM

I feel a high scoring game coming. 5-4 Rangers in OT

fiedy88 03-19-2013 07:48 AM

I'll be there in Section 106 hopefully surrounded by blue, and hopefully don't have to hear that awful goal horn and song very much. God I hate that crap.
