Good lord, Jim Matheson is an idiot and out of touch...

Quote:

Q: Who do you think is a better player? Taylor Hall (the Mark Messier type) or Taylor Seguin (the big centre the Oilers need)? Seguin has won a Stanley Cup and Hall has been hurt quite a bit in his career. Did they pick the right guy?
(Philip Chin)

A: Both Hall and Seguin will be contenders for spots on Canada’s 2014 Olympic team in Sochi. I’d be shocked if one or the other wasn’t invited to this summer’s camp in Calgary. Both are very good kids in their own right. You’re right that Seguin has a leg up on Hall with that Cup ring in his first NHL season. You are right that Hall has had two significant injuries — high ankle sprain and bad shoulder — which short-circuited his first two seasons. But, in Year 3, Hall has 26 points in 28 games, the same number of points, incidentally, as Jonathan Toews and Claude Giroux, who will surely be on Canada’s Olympic entry. Seguin has 22 points and is plus-19, a great stat, albeit on a heck of a team. He’s playing the wing in Boston, not centre with Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci as the top two pivots. The Oilers would have been happy with either kid. Seguin is no bigger than Hall. He is not the “big centre” type
Umm... He's got 26 pts in 25 games Jim...all you have to do is go to the Oilers website to see the current stats! Try to not be so lazy maybe??

What a hack.....:shakehead

BTW, thanks BB!
