6'8"?

Holy crap.

Zbynek 03-21-2013 05:09 PM

How soon will be able to step up for TB? Any Lightning fans have insight on this?

Lightning fans will have about as much insight as any other fans. And I think he'll need some time in the AHL to properly develop but he could be tossed up as soon as next season or sooner.

Does this make any current D tradeable?

Bolts are adding some solid d prospects.

No #1 guys in their pool, but some good prospects.

Don't forget Aulie!

That is potentially a big defensive core with some mobility.

If his agreement was similiar to last years unsigned college player prize JT Brown I would be surprised if he's not in the lineup quickly. They Lightning used the promise of NHL playing time to get Brown signed and I'd imagine they did the same with Sustr.

So big.

I would think that Eric Brewer Is expendable.

stakesishigh 03-21-2013 05:16 PM

Wow, good for them, he's massive!

henchman24 03-21-2013 05:16 PM

Mobile (for his size) and has a good skill set. Not physical and makes some real dumb decisions at times. Will be a longer term project (shouldn't be a regular in the NHL for 2+ seasons IMO). Still a very solid prospect with a high ceiling.

OttawaSenators11 03-21-2013 05:17 PM

I know Ottawa fan wanted this guy.

Rare Jewel 03-21-2013 05:17 PM

He must have watch the defense last night.

Well done though.

416Leafer 03-21-2013 05:18 PM

Paid big bucks to live in sunny Florida on a blueline that leaves room for him to make the NHL quickly, all while playing with Stamkos?

Seems like a good deal to me.

bobbyflex 03-21-2013 05:18 PM

cool signing. Can't say no to Stevie

whitstifier 03-21-2013 05:27 PM

Oooh! Maybe he will be able to contain that awful nuisance and maladroit, Zac Rinaldo!

kingdok 03-21-2013 05:30 PM

A bit further to reach for Lupul

Fire Sweeney 03-21-2013 05:32 PM

The next Mihalik

mindfly 03-21-2013 05:36 PM

I wonder if there ever will be a 6'10 hockeyplayer to take that record from Chara as the tallest hockey player ever in the nhl.

Tripod 03-21-2013 05:38 PM

So now they have Hedman, Koekkoek, Sustr, Ailie as youngsters....looks good!
