Update: Brian Lee clears waivers, gets assigned to Syracuse

Don't know if that's the right prefix, but Brian Lee placed on Waivers.

Is this real life???

Al Cervick 03-22-2013 11:12 AM

Kind of surprised it took this long

Turris the Turret 03-22-2013 11:14 AM

Sens Fan here. I am like the only person that likes Brian Lee. I would love him back in Ottawa. How did he play for Tampa?

IdealisticSniper 03-22-2013 11:14 AM

Thank you baby Jesus! Thank you Tom Cruise.

I think Yzerman realized that when Brodeur has more goals than you, something I seriously wrong.

Finally.

He's on waivers. How do you think he played?

LightningStrikes 03-22-2013 11:16 AM

I guess it was either him or Gudas. The right choice was made.

Is it like the 2nd or 3rd best day in the Lightning history? :sarcasm:

Al Cervick 03-22-2013 11:26 AM

Not sure what the plan is if he clears but if they send him to SYR, that will be 3 one way contracts down on the farm. We would have never seen that happen with our previous affiliates.

He played poorly to start the year, got a little better. Not good enough to replace an AHL callup like Gudas though. With Sustr coming in from WCHA, there's no room. If he clears waivers, I think he could do pretty well in the AHL.

CC321 03-22-2013 11:36 AM

Spending some time with Cooper may do Lee a lot of good actually, and if this makes room for Sustr to get a few games in, I'm all for it.

Yzlamic Preacher* 03-22-2013 11:39 AM

Poor poor Hose. Well this will be very good for Lee if he gets to spend time with Cooper.

Kind of didn't answer my question but ok

HoseEmDown 03-22-2013 11:51 AM

I'm sorry it had to end this way, but I can't go on any longer. This was the final straw, i'm going to miss everyone. Life is a cruel *****, someone take care of my dog.

Sorry.

But yeah, he was the odd man out, and with Gudas there had to be move coming. He was bad most of the year.

HoseEmDown 03-22-2013 12:20 PM

One last thing before I go, why not MAB? Lee played better and still has potential, Bergeron is a one trick pony. I bet it's nice to be Bouchers b*tt buddy.

How -13, 0 pts in 22 games is ''better'' than 5 points in 12 games and +3 ?

Depends on if you mean this year or last. Great last year, horrible this year.

Or as its commonly know in Tampa, Prospal syndrome.

How does this always seem to happen to players we acquire?

That's the way Prospal plays though. This is a more direct trend since Boucher came in of diminishing returns.

MAB is expected to get points, and the -13 isn't all his fault. If you watched the games you'd see MAB is only useful on the PP.
