Illinihockey 03-24-2013 12:41 PM

Hope it's the flu that's been going around

Bubba88 03-24-2013 02:14 PM

yes, Shaw is sick.

Frolik on Top Line? Thats only for the TD to showcase him

Esq 03-24-2013 05:57 PM

Let's hope Hossa gets better ASAP.

Nothingman* 03-24-2013 06:02 PM

No Hossa tomorrow either. We will be missing three pretty good players.

TK 03-24-2013 07:03 PM

I have a bad feeling about this game.

LarmerAmonteSeabrook 03-24-2013 07:24 PM

I'm hearing Shaw might play tomorrow.

Crawford has been confirmed the starter, as expected. I'm expecting a much better fate than Wednesday.

I look forward to getting there for the first time since the Vancouver game...I'll be sitting in section 114 for this.

As per usual on Monday, going to be watching the game at bar trivia. Always a good time with buddies and a steak at the table, the game on a big TV, and a good trivia guy that knows to only ask questions during commercials and intermissions.

Looks like we will be quite short-handed again. This will be on Toews & Kane to carry offense for sure. Tough test against a very, very good team.

Slvrbullet87 03-24-2013 11:41 PM

Will be my first game this year, going again on Friday. Hopefully they can right the ship and come out of this week still in 1st place over the Ducks.

Bubba88 03-25-2013 02:35 AM

big test without Sharp, Hossa and possible Shaw

They got a bit of a rest though on the weekend. Hopefully their legs are fresh and they skate well tonight!

ndgt10 03-25-2013 11:31 AM

How many weeks is Hossa out for?

MadhouseOnMadison 03-25-2013 12:42 PM

The Kings have been playing great hockey and we're pretty banged up. I don't expect a win tonight but I expect a very good effort after blowing it the last game.

Illinihockey 03-25-2013 01:06 PM

@TramyersCSN: Expected lines for tonight: Saad-Toews-Frolik, Hayes-Bolland-Kane, Bickell-Shaw-Stalberg, Bollig-Kruger-Mayers. #Blackhawks

Chris Hansen 03-25-2013 01:31 PM

Missing two of the team's best four forwards - especially when said four are the only top-6 caliber players on the roster - is tough. But the Hawks can still take this one if they continue the good defensive play and solid goaltending that have both been going strong all season.

Toews and Kane will need to carry the offense. A goal chipped in from the third line once again would be nice as well.

The Kings lost against Vancouver while scoring exactly 0 goals. Oh, they also lost against Dallas while scoring exactly 0 goals. They were not a very good team for the last 3 games. I hope they turn it aroung against your team :naughty:.

The game against the Cryotes three games ago the kings got shelled and looked like crap. The last two games I think LA has been the better team but failed to capitlize on their scoreing chances. Definately the Dallas game anyway. The Canuck game was a 1-0 game so it's hard to be too critical.

SLang 03-25-2013 02:12 PM

Hawks missing 2 good forwards. Kings missing 2 best SAH defensemen. Evens up!

Uhhhh, I don't think so.

There's a MAJOR difference between Hossa and Sharp and Greene and Mitchell.

2 are elite players at their position, 2 are depth players at their position.

Frolik on the 1st line? :help: Just keep the puck away from him in the offensive zone and Toews and Saad should be OK.

To the Kings they are not. They are not "elite" but nevertheless extremely important for the Kings.

OK, but they still aren't nearly as important to LA as Hossa and Sharp are to Chicago.

CPHawksFan 03-25-2013 04:43 PM

Hawks 3-2...Toews, Kane, and Frolik with the goals.

That is debateableto some extent as Chicago has the luxury of forward depth. Plus the system that the kings have the most success in relies heavily on their defense.
Obvisously Hossa and Sharp have more value than Greene and Mitchell, but to the kings it is close.

If losing a couple of good SAH defensemen is as jarring to the Kings as losing two of the best wingers in the world is to another team, LA has some serious problems.

But they don't, lucky for them.

Hawks are going into this game a great deal more shorthanded, it isn't debatable to any extent at all.
